Managed to get my account linked. Turns out I had a very old EA account on an old Hotmail email address. Once I spoke to someone helpful I was able to get things resolved.
Funny how getting the right person on the phone can make such a difference.
Dead by daylight is getting new stuff. 5 yr anniversary event in a few days. They just announced it’ll be adding the resident evil 2 remake police station map, leon, jill, and nemesis in a couple weeks. Zombies too.
Theyre working on bot matches, kill rewards and griefer auto bans.

Conan exiles is apparently on gamepass now, optimized for the series X.
Looks like some kind of survival MMO, set in the Conan world?
It’s along the lines of Ark and whatnot- survival crafter. You can play on a personal server, solo or with friends, join the public/private servers, etc. It has its own quirks, and it’s fun for a while, if you’re into that sort of thing. All the DLC is just cosmetic, but cool if you want the stuff you build (structures/weapons/armor) to have a particular flavor. And really, who doesn’t?
I’m tempted to downoad it to see how pretty it is on XSX.
Hey, this is a little weird. Mechwarrior 5 (Xbox) was supposed to be released and hit GP yesterday. It isn’t showing up in the GP list at all (even though other stuff like Conan and Maneater are there), or in the store under New Releases (or Coming Soon). But I just did a search for it in the console store, and it showed up, with the GP logo and said ‘installable’. So if you’re waiting for that, it’s there. I’ve got it downloading now, but with Biomutant, Sunless Skies, etc. in my queue, I don’t know when I’ll get to it. Which means I’ll probably fire it up in an hour.

We’ve discussed it a few times it seems like. Heck, two posts above mine, Timex is talking about Conan on GP, and that’s console-only, too, isn’t it? Unless (like MW5) it hit PCGP a while back and I’m unaware.
He’s right, though, that Timex mentioned it specifically in the context of the Series X

Conan exiles seems like…
A pretty terrible game.
Funcom lost their way in the past decade or so sadly.
It was moderately praised in the Epic Game Store thread for a week when we thought it was going to be given away for free there. The posters there got me interested in it before Epic didn’t give it away for free after all.
I would try Conan Exiles and Maneater now, but I’m too busy playing Solasta.
Too much stuff on Game Pass right now that I’m loving.

Some things about Conan from the brief time checking it out last night:
You can make a female character with comically huge breasts that bounce when you run. Like really, hilariously over the top. Also you can specifically choose to be topless, so this seems like this was definitely intended as a feature.
The gameplay itself is harder to evaluate, because in some ways thiS “MMO” seems more like the old Neverwinter Nights game (prior to the actual NWN MMO).
Instead of a normal MMO framework, the game has an old school system of private servers, with either a 20 or 40 player cap, where the server owner can customize various rules and stuff.
This is kind of weird in this day and age, especially on a console. It also means that is you want to play online, you need to pick one from a ton of different servers. At that point it’s very much like the old NWN servers, with people saying “here are the rules, you need to join our discord, etc…”
When I joined a game, it dropped me in the desert with my enormous naked boobs, and nothing else… At which point I didn’t really know what to do. I harvested some grass and stuff, made some clothes and a stone axe, and wandered around a bit. I found a house someone had made, but no one was there. I never found any actual monsters to fight.
Maybe I’ll check it out more, but it was strange.
It did seem to run very well on the XSX though.
Huh, so there’s no way to try to play this solo? You have to be on somebody’s server? Or make your own private one I guess.
You can make your own private server instance on PC. Maybe on Xbox too, not sure.
