Game Pass (the space matters)
All good games go to um… subscription? Game pass (is) 2 words
Damn it is two words.
Definitely. There have been several games that I wishlisted, that I intended on buying or even pre-purchasing, that I ended up not doing so because of Game Pass. And, with Game Pass acting as a demo platform of sorts, I’ve also discovered that, of those several games, I was better off never having bought them anyway because I dropped them shortly after trying them out.
I like that it also gives me an opportunity to explore games and genres that I would not ordinarily have spent money on as well. As a percentage of time, gaming ranks at least as much as TV, so I’m quite pleased with the value I’m getting out of Game Pass Ultimate.
That said, I might still pick up long tail games like Total Warhammer 3 - after I get a sense of whether I like it when it drops Day 1 in February next year.
That is a very quaint title change: I thought this thread was about games you’d give a pass, until I noticed the insane post counts that was the trademark of the thread.
Wait, is this thread for the PC or Xbox game pass? And what about xCloud? I’m so confused.
Is it just me or does PC Game Pass just make you want to delay buying games?
I guess I’m the outlier, but since I got my three years of game pass, I haven’t spent more than an hour playing games on it. There’s nothing on it that really interests me, and only a few games that fall into the, “maybe I’ll give them a try if I get really bored,” category.

What types/genres of games are buying that do interest you? I’ve found their selection to be reasonably diverse.
I’m in a sort of similar boat. I’ve had fun with a bunch of Game Pass games (the Riftbreaker was a pleasant surprise), but other than The Forgotten City all the games I really wanted to play this year were off of it (Inscryption, Wildermyth, Loop Hero, Final Fantasy 14 and Genshin Impact new content, Outer Wilds expansion, etc).
How come there isn’t any talk about NFL Game Pass? Isn’t this the place for all game passes?
To be fair to the new title, until yesterday I didn’t even realise we had a game pass thread as my eyes automatically pass over every sentence where the word Xbox features prominently. The tildes really help it stand out to the content saturated gamer.
I like this title too. I hate the convoluted titles that make things hard to find.
The old mega long title is a bit of an inside joke right? This one however is a bit too short and non-descriptive. It isn’t about some other game pass (e.g. NFL), but from the title you won’t know it.
It doesn’t help that MS changes the name all the effing time. Now it is not Xbox Game Pass for PC, but PC Game Pass. But this is a mega thread for Xbox AND PC Game Pass, right??? See, if the description is clearer then there would be less confusion. 😂
Clearly this thread is for all game passes, including Microsoft Xbox Game Pass for Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Xbox Game Pass for Microsoft Xbox, Microsoft Xbox Cloud Streaming with Microsoft Xbox Game Pass, NFL Game Pass, the Roblox Game Pass, the Azalea Labs Game Pass for some android game on the Amazon app store you never heard of (only $1.60!), DoTA2 Custom Game Passes, the upcoming Playstation Game Pass, and of course last but not least the picturesque Game Pass Shelter in South Africa.
Apparently it’s like a Rosetta’s Stone for cave paintings in the area. I don’t get it though, what kind of name is Game pass for a archeological gold mine like that?
Assumedly this is where the African gazelles, bongo antelopes, giraffes, oryxes, blue duiker, and other ungulates made their way through the rocky terrain in their search for succulent greenery and clean drinking water.
No tapirs in Africa I’m afraid, but this little guy is pretty dang cute.
Wonder what it’s K/D ratio is.
