I assume it has touch controls on the phone too? I should give it a try and find out.

I’ve only played Unpacking on PC, where it works beautifully with the mouse.

I wouldn’t assume that. I’ve tried other games whose PC versions have good touch/mouse controls in the past on xCloud, and it’s always just been a simple on-screen button wrapper over the Xbox version.

Don’t try to move games in between drives while a Win10 Store/Xbox game download is going since your move will complete but take up space on two drives. In the SYSTEM-account-controlled obfuscated file system under \WINDOWSAPPS\MovedPackages the original install will remain buggered, taking up space

What I liked about Sable was the freedom, or impression of freedom, that it gives. You can indeed discover hidden things out there that aren’t marked, there are secrets to find, and best of all - things to climb. Structures appearing out of the mist as you approach will never get old, that sense of “oh I found something!” I understand it’s not perfect, though I don’t mind their artistic choices. It had a lot more bugs on release (some quite literal, including a line of floating beetles in the sky that freaked me the heck out!) and I played a fair amount. Another on my ever-expanding list of games that I need to get back to.

I guess I have to look into Sable with all this talk about it.

I liked how the game acknowledges the air gliding feature in the world building. When I got it I thought it was like a double jump unlock in other games but nope, here it’s actually a thing known by people of the world.

A curious bug, the egg would disappear and only be drawn if I was close and looking from an angle:

Last batch. I’m finishing up the game

I wonder if storage needs to be NTFS for it to work as a drive for MS Store apps. I hooked up a new exFAT 4TB external and the drive letter appeared as a destination to install a game to. Chose it, download started and errored out and then gave another helpful vague ‘an error has occurred’ and the drive letter became unavailable as a destination.

Even going into WinPE and deleting the WindowsApp folders didn’t make it reappear. Fucking Microsoft. Fucking obfuscated file system.

Yes, exFAT doesn’t support the encryption that the MS Store apps use.

Thanks. That’s what I guessed but sloppy of MS not to stop the user with useful descriptive warnings instead of bullshit obscure errors. Also, the drive letter is available to choose in Storage Settings as a default for apps to install to, but errors when you try to Apply.

Game Pass error messages go out of their way to be unhelpful. You can’t even copy paste the code.

My exfat drive won’t even show as an option for install

I finished it. I chose the Climber mask, because it’s what I liked the most in the game, climbing and finding secrets :P.

So in the ship logs you find some clues about how at least 200 years would be needed to terraform the planet. But, the thing is, I think much more time happened since the ships arrived. You can find some boxes that say in English ‘Made in London’. But it seems people have lost knowledge of their origins, and now have their own alphabet (like you can find in the city). Not only that, but given the stone fortress and everything you find, they lost knowledge and reverted back to a more primitive technological level. They formed their own culture, they built civilizations and some of them at least fell, given all the ruins you find. So it seems 2000 or 3000 years have gone by.
My head canon is that is a tragic story: because the ships arrived damaged, the terraforming process was never fully completed, and now after thousands of years the planet is reverting back slowly to its original state. Which is why everything is a desert or desert-like, there are so many abandoned ruins half buried by the sand (civilizations collapsed) and why there so few people remain in general (mostly a few tribes here and there). The world has been slowly dying for a thousand years, and eventually they will go extinct.

I had better get back and finish it so I can read your spoiler paragraph!

Just dipped back into Forza 5 after 2 weeks off - that’s a damn fun game. I like how you race and get points, and then they give you points for getting points!

Forza currently is giving away the hilarious tiny cars from Peel.

Stock is a 4hp .051L displacement engine, but you can upgrade it to a motorcycle engine and then roll around at 160mph.

Goodbye time soon:

  • Desperados 3 (PC/Cloud/Xbox)
  • Ghost of a Tale (PC)
  • Mount and Blade Warband (PC/Cloud/Xbox)
  • Pandemic (PC/Xbox)
  • PUBG (Cloud/Xbox)
  • YIIK (PC)

I’m going to have to play Ghost of a Tale!

I should play Desperados 3, I never played any. Is it good?
