Yeah, it’s a cool game.

Oh, it’s much harder! The hazards in the original feel like they’re mostly fairly simple and straightforward individually, and the interest comes from how they appear in different combinations and interact with the level layouts. With 2, they really crank up each individual element. I’ve finished the original many times, made it to the secret areas, and even gotten the speedrun achievement, but I haven’t made it past the third area of 2. Keep meaning to give it another shot though, and maybe this is the time.

As for the rest, The Pedestrian had been on my radar as a cool-looking puzzle-platformer and I’m happy to get to try it out. Hadn’t heard of Olija, but I’m intrigued after taking a quick look.

I’ve heard so much good stuff about Outer Wilds, and tried to play it when it was on Game Pass initially, but was getting motion sickness issues with it, exacerbated by it being stuck at 30fps due to being console-only and not updated for Series X. Hopefully it’s been upgraded on a technical level as part of the expansion launch, but at least the PC version is now included as well.

I wonder if old Mass Effect saves can be imported to the legendary edition. I played through the first two games back in the day but never got around to the third.

Gorogoa’s fantastic, definitely give it a try if you haven’t yet.

I realized that Gorogoa is also on PC GP, so installed it on my old Surface 5. It runs well, and the touch controls are perfect (as one would hope with a game like this).

I enjoyed the demo for this!

Gorogoa’s also gets a big thumbs up, finished it in 2 sittings.

Yessss - now I can fail the daily on pc, ps AND xbox!

So I just tried streaming to my browser, and got these options, and I LOVE that they still let you do it, even if you don’t have their ‘recommended’ things! The whole modern tech space feels more and more restrictive and walled and proprietary, and this feels like the old days. “We’ll warn you, but you’re welcome to try!” Apple would NEVER let you play something outside of their supported browser.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but good job, Microsoft.

So, in addition to the new Rainbow Six game coming to Game Pass day one, looks like the rumors about Ubisoft+ coming to Xbox are also true! So, I guess I can stop buying Ubisoft games now too.

I beat both of you chumps, and took the time to necro a 13 year old thread to boot!

It’s going to be a separate service that is accessible through Gamepass, not actually part of your Gamepass subscription.

Aw, rats.

That’s what EA Play is too, and eventually got rolled into Game Pass. It’s entirely possible this could happen with Ubisoft+ as well. But in the meantime, will be interesting to see at least what’s included and what it costs.

No, EA play has two tiers and only the bottom tier is included with Game Pass.

But it’s still the case that you have to boot up EA Play to access the games in that bottom tier.

There’s only one tier on the Xbox version.

Well sure, but it’s the lower tier. EA play ultra or pro or super or whatever they call it gives you every EA game, period, including at launch. EA play peon tier is just old crap, and costs 1/3 as much.

It’s kind of a weird announcement. If it’s not included in Gamepass, than why would I want to have to go through Gamepass to launch my Ubisoft games, basically using 2 launchers instead of just launching them through the Ubisoft app. Maybe it will be offered as a discount through Gamepass? $5/month with gamepass instead of the normal $15?

You don’t have to go through game pass to launch Ubi games on Xbox. They’ll have the subscription either as its own app or integrated into the store with digital licenses.

Discounts are certainly possible, but I feel like they would have announced that. My take is what you read is what we got.

  1. Uplay subscription is coming to Xbox. Includes every Ubi game, $15/month. This may be cross-platform, or it may not.
  2. Select Ubi games are coming to Game Pass, but only Rainbow Six was announced.

Oh for FFS. I just bought it this weekend so of course it goes back on Gamepass, and finally on the platform I wanted (PC). You guys are welcome.

I was getting mild nausea from it on my PC as well. Getting old sucks. I didn’t measure the FPS but it had to be over 60. Wasn’t bad, and I was playing for a couple of hours, but I could tell I needed to quit for awhile.

Same with Sable, another gamepass game I wanted to try. Couldn’t play it for more than hour.
