Yeah, it’s on sale right now. I’ve been enjoying it, and thought about buying it, but decided to hold off, what with Elden Ring and Stranger in Paradise both waiting in the wings.
It’s very Japanese, in that it is trying to turn the fun formula into a systematic and compulsive grind. It’s nifty, but I got tired of that sense that the game was playing me as much as I was playing it. While it shares some of its gameplay, it is also so remote from the near meditative Souls experience!
I just wish they’d put SSX up on cloud…

If you were on the internet in the year 2000, Hypnospace Outlaw is the best game ever. If you weren’t it’s merely very, very good.
I (barely) finished FFXII in time! Woohoo! 50 hours in two weeks. x_x
Console: Kingdom Hearts 3 is still in, and it’s now listed in Leaving Soon too. HLTB says 30 hours for this one, and another 10 to 30 to 100% complete.
re: the leaving soon list,
Good games. I recommend trying them all. You’ll know very quickly if you like them.
Stealth Inc 2 (Sequel to Stealth Bastard) goes on sale for a dollar often. PS+ many years ago.
Madden 20 is also leaving in March. I’m reinstalling Titanfall right now and will report back on if it’s dead.
Titanfall on PC: 5 minute loading screens to end with failed to connect.
Titanfall on Xbox: Good time! I forgot how much I loved that game. Looks pretty with Auto HDR. Still a few people around. I immediately joined an in-progress match with 8 other players.
What weapon are you talking about?
The weapon your character starts Symphony of the Night with.
Your character starts completely kitted out and maybe even leveled up until the reaper guy takes it from you. It’s not when you “miss”.
Maybe I’m just misunderstanding.
Sorry, my memory of the game is vague. It was on the 360 so it’s been a long time. You had whip thing, you could destroy stuff easily, then Dracula makes the funny famous speech, and then you try to beat him, but you can’t, that’s all I remember. I think I quit there.
That’s the end of the previous game, Chi no Rondo. Technically you haven’t even played the beginning of Symphony of the Night, ha! And Arrendek spoiled the beginning of the actual game for you ;D
Infernax is cool. Fun new game for anyone who likes 1987ish platformers - similar to Castlevania. The starting areas were pretty easy.
It seems like only 1 in 20ish people who fired up the Final Fantasy X collection tried the second game. Everything is a rare achievement.

FFX collection leaving soon?
I’ve been reluctant to start it just because I’ve already finished it many times, so I should prioritize games I haven’t played yet. But the idea of it leaving would maybe tempt me back anyway. :)

I got as far as being able to save the game, and then buy a soda to recover my hp and mp, and got a watch to stop time. And that’s about it. It seems to be a dead end. I hate having to look up a guide just to figure out how to get past a tutorial.
There is an area where there’s a key card, but I can’t get to it because my character can’t slide or go low under obstacles. I was careful about not missing any tutorial messages, so I’m clearly not supposed to get that yet. But there seems to be nothing else in the game to do, so I guess I must therefore be able to get to the keycard somehow?
I didn’t even make it as far as I did in Symphony of the Night!
May-ish. I think the next big Square game (after Kingdom Hearts next week) to leave will be Octopath Traveler in around a month.
I’m getting started on FFX though because there’s no way I can beat two final fantasies in two weeks when it’s time :)
re: touhou, you missed an area you can access. IIRC you want the middle-right passage in that part you’re at. I was stuck there too for a bit.
You made it quite a bit futher than in Sotn, since you didnt even make it to the beginning of that game!
There is a place you should exploit your time stopping ability, but I won’t say no more.
Scratch that recommandation of mine though: I just watched a bit of the English version, and the prose is absolutely intolerable. I’d never expose myself to such horror, and I bet it will be a liability at various points.
Talking about Touhou? Yeah, it’s really bad so far.
You mean this area:
That’s a door, I can’t do anything to it or open it, as far as I know.
Or do you mean this red door
I can’t get past that either.
That’s why I thought maybe the solution was this key card area.
There’s no other places I can go, I just double checked again.

on that top pic look for anything slightly unusual.
stand on that little rise in the floor. It took me a while too
Hey, question for you all, just to eliminate this as the reason I can’t play Xcloud games or stream from my console to my PC, at least through the Xbox app:
Do you all just have a local Windows 10/11 user account or is that account signed into your Microsoft account as well (at the system level)? I’m thinking I may (just may) have misdiagnosed the problem and laid the blame on the fact that I’ve got a special character in my username.
