Sad to see Darksiders III will be leaving in a few days. I meant to get to it but never did. Maybe it’ll be a good one to download tonight on the Series X, to try it out before it leaves.

Question on DLC discounts. I thought DLC for Game Pass games was always 10% off, but I’ve been playing Age of Wonders: Planetfall and took a look at the DLC and most of the DLC items are marked “10% off with Game Pass, ends in 2 days”. Oddly the only one that isn’t marked with “ends in 2 days” is the new Star Kings which just says “10% off with Game Pass.”
Any idea why these discounts are only good for the next two days? Is this game dropping from Game Pass in two days and I just didn’t notice, or am I misunderstanding the “all DLC is 10% off for Game Pass games.”
Just as part of regular weekly sales, Age of Wonders Planetfall Season Pass is supposed to be 25% off this week, making it $30, but I’m not seeing it. The only discount I’m seeing is the Game Pass discount. So maybe the ends in 2 days message you’re seeing is like a regular weekly sale messing with the regular Game Pass discount, I’m not sure.
Tetris Effect is nice. I am stuck at the metamorphosis level. 10 tries and even on beginner difficulty I cannot do it yet. Closest i got was 82/90. Once it goes to speed 10 my hands and eyes go dead and I inevitably make a mistake.
But it is great, I did not expect to get stuck on it for hours when I am supposed to be playing Valhalla. It is kinda addicting.
I’m playing this too! It is pretty great. I rarely bother to shut off all the lights in my office and turn the sound way up with a game, but this really rewards it. I don’t really love the levels that punch way up to speed 10 (and I still don’t totally understand zone mode), but mostly for the reason that my skill level just isn’t quite at the point where I can manage it. Maybe with some practice…
Does anyone know if the GamePass Tetris Effect supports VR? I tried it, but couldn’t find any options to switch or anything.
Edit: Found an answer to my own question. TL;DR: it’s coming hopefully by the end of 2020.

I have TE on Quest. The VR is underwhelming and not really worth the loss of resolution and discomfort of the headset.
I have no idea. I watched the tutorial, tried it…it pauses the game somehow? I dunno, never used it afterwards. Maybe when that speed 10 hits I will have to rely on it somehow to get through.

Just finished Journey last night as well. Never been a big puzzle game guy, but it’s been fun seeing all the different audiovisual themes.
Yeah, Zone pauses gravity until the meter runs out, and makes any lines go to the bottom of the screen. Then when time is up, all of those lines get cleared at once, with score bonuses based on how many you have. In the easy levels I was building up big towers with one column open, and then triggering Zone once I had two straight blocks available. My best was 16 lines in a single Zone. But with the later levels, I had to start saving it to buy myself some breathing room when the game goes to speed 13 and I can’t keep up.
There…there is a speed 13? (sweats profusely)

I do wish they would maybe give us a full months notice before removing a game. I wanted to try Mutant Year Zero so I probably should get on that, however I think I might have it on Epic anyway.
Demons tilt is a great example of gamepass saving me money. That is a game I really wanted to try and probably would have paid $5-10 on steam to do so but played it on gamepass and though it was “meh”.
My Xbox app is showing Hatoful Boyfriend leaving as well.
Is there anywhere to find system requirements on the PC gamepass app?

Yeah, just keep scrolling down. Below the “install” button are screenshots. Below that is ESRB rating. Below that is the Description. Below that is the platforms it’s available on. Below that is Friends who play. Then Capabilities (like Xbox Live presence, Play Anywhere, etc), then below that is the system requirements. First Minimum, then Recommended.
ok, I did that but for Halo 4 it just says OS and architecture, doesn’t list any requirements for GPU, CPU, etc. Must just be a thing with this game.
