Yeah, that viewpoint is super weird. It suggests that some of these people actively want to prevent others from simply exercising their religious beliefs. That it somehow is worth something to them to have someone else not pray.
That’s weird.

This double-tweet embedding is uh… something.

So basically the US is to become the world’s Oil Police. I mean I guess we already were, but I can’t remember us being so nakedly obvious about it.

The 1st Gulf War was “oil policing”, wasn’t it? Saddam invaded Kuwait and threatened global oil supply, so US-led international coalition pushed him out.

So we’re going to bomb one of Iran’s allies, who they don’t really like or trust, but they kind of work with?
We’re gonna bomb Russia?
Nonsense! It was anti-imperialism! That’s why all the … um … former imperialist nations joined in to boot Saddam out. Yeah. That’s the ticket.

It is a fun listen but I wish they had discussed more of what happens if they Congress used their inherent contempt power on Trump’s cronies. My take away is: It is completely within Congress powers to jail people, the implementation, will be to use their words “awkward” and it will be a media circus.
The media circus seems like a feature not a bug to me. I would hope instead of putting the Trump guys in the Waldof Astoria, they find something more appropriate like a Motel 6, (I was tempted to suggest a crack/hooker hotel, but then I realize that many of his staffers would enjoy that.)
I’m perfectly fine with everybody getting out of jail when Congress term ends, since that’s after the election. I think AG Barr would less damaging to the country if he spent the next 15 months in Motel 6 with no phone.

Ya, at some point, the circus is gonna happen.
Or, if Congress is afraid to act out of fear that it’ll become a circus, you’re still gonna have the wild animals in the form of Trump and his thugs, they should won’t be in cages.
I’d rather have a circus than just be mauled by random animals.

Hey, if the Saudis want to make their proxy war with Iran a real one, I’m fine with that as long as we can stay out of it.

Participants were told that a stranger would receive their description and offer a gesture of support in response.
I might pay to avoid the part I bolded.
State’s rights, for the right states.
Wonder what they thought when the Texas Board of Education was setting the national standard for K-12 textbooks? A very conservative standard, I’ll add. Probably thought it was great and how dare other states complain.
It was the same deal. The Texas market was too big to ignore, so the publishers went along with most of what they demanded and that became the national standard.

Probably because $250 million for election security isn’t actually going to prevent any attacks that are coming. Whatever Russia has planned, it’s already far along and probably already built in to voting machines and the system in general. All it needs is to be activated.
McConnell knows it’s a token gesture and it clears up an angle of attack for 2020 in Senate races.
Arrogant, self-entitled prick.
