(copyediting nitpick, please skip if you’re looking for morally debauched Republicans)

Note that you’re complaining about Lizza, not Nunes. Also note that some style guides dictate spelling it out in this context - i.e. when the thing being expressed is a rough approximation instead of actual data. Nunes isn’t saying that he carefully measured those numbers, quite the opposite; using “90%” or “10%” would give the impression of spurious precision.

Again, it’s why Fox has ruined everything. To be fair, i suppose, not every conspiracy springs fully formed from the maw of journalism hell, but Fox has both capitalized on and helped nourish the fertile ground from when conspiratorial thinking grows.

I’ve told people this before here but in my town hall conference call with Mike Conaway literally every person - without exception - was a crazed AM radio addled modern Republican stereotype screaming about Obama and Hillary and the Deep State and whatever conspiracy de jour was at the time. Though now they followed Trump’s lead into the unlimited and infallible reservoir of conspiratorial thinking, finally the batty ideas of 3am truckers now being given the highest sanction in the land.

It doesn’t surprise me then that many GOP Reps genuinely feel it is their “duty” to “represent” the views of their “constituency”. And this means they’re effective trapped - if not basically a Cat’s-Paw - of Fox News now, indirectly though their voters that Fox now controls.

He looks like Gary Busey and Eric Trump had a lovechild.

Is he wearing one of Trumps coates?

The unholy triumvirate of suck:

Huh. Weird.

I wish there were even a slim possibility voting him out but he won last election by 28 points or something. I’m stuck with him as my rep until someone runs him over with a bus or something – at which point he’ll be replaced by someone equally as bad, so it doesn’t really matter anyway.

There are pictures. That no sane person would pay for.

The responses are pretty good.

He didn’t have to go when he thought they guy was on his side, but then suddenly he desperately needed to be in the closest door he could find.

It could be $1M/day and the GOP wouldn’t blink. I don’t think the numbers really register to most voters unfortunately. Hopefully the POS is too unhealthy to golf anymore so he’ll continue to sit on his 400lb ass in his adult diapers on the WH bed.

On Stay tuned with Preet, Carl Bernstein used the word craven to describe republicans. It seems incredibly fitting for that video.

Also Lindsey Graham, courtesy of the satirical “(fake) Conscience” account:

People are cheering this on Twitter:

Honestly, I don’t get it. If Iran-Contra wasn’t an example of “getting conservative policies from authoritarians subverting a constitutional republic and the rule of law”, then nothing is. If secretly bombing Cambodia wasn’t another example, then nothing is. If kidnapping people and torturing them to death wasn’t another, then nothing is.

This stuff is not new, it is what Republican Party ‘conservatism’ has stood for for my entire life.

but liberals

I mean, is it possible a good person voted Republican at some point since 1960? Sure, but I mean, I’m not holding my breath or anything :-)
