Heh, I was thinking the same thing. Oh, now we care about Gold Star families again? And it was the Democrats who didn’t previously?

No hypocrisy there. Republicans have made it clear that only Trump-loving Gold Star families are worthy of respect.

Trump admin confirms it: We are the baddies.

Wow. Nothing says “We’re totally guilty of war crimes!” quite as well as denying independent international investigators entry into your country.

Hague Invasion Act (2002) introduced by the wonderful Jessie Helms (NC-R) and Tom Delay (TX-R) started that whole ball of wax.

I was promised that Hillary would be locked up.

Huh.

Bernie should add it to the list of Trump’s broken campaign promises!

I’m sure Trump will remember him for his prior loyalty.

Fuck that school and its administration.

A-fucking-men

Let me guess… a religious school?

Yes, but there is nothing in Christ’s teachings that supports them expelling her for that.

Remember Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount when he said rainbows are a sin?

At this point we should have two Christian sects. The fake ones who just like to claim they are but have burned all the WWJD bracelets ever made, and then the real ones who actually read and follow the gospels. Then take away tax exempt status from the fakeys.

It is so frustrating to see these major religions used to justify this sort of thing. Lifestyle violation? Christ engaged an actual prostitute. He had a much bigger problem with the cold and indifferent hearts of the rich than he did with people whom society tried to shame and exclude.

There is no potential danger here. They had zero reason to expel a child for a birthday cake and a sweater who poses no threat to anyone. And if they feel their teachings are threatened by that… they’re doing it wrong.

It’s certainly ridiculous to expel her, but apparently something had been going on between the school and girl for some time:

The private school claims the picture is the latest in two years’ worth of “lifestyle violations.” In the email, Dr. Jacobson said the picture “demonstrates a posture of morality and cultural acceptance contrary to that of Whitefield Academy’s beliefs.”

The school was looking for a reason to boot her.

Yeah that’s what they claim except there is nothing, absolutely nothing wrong with that picture.

The whole idea though, that a school supposedly using Christ’s teaching as guidance could even have a line line like “posture of morality and cultural acceptance” tells you there is something very wrong there. I mean, you don’t need a get out of jail free card to deal with kids that pose a threat to the adults or other children there… and it is ridiculous to believe that someone teaching the word of Christ would believe he would say, oh well, you did something I didn’t like so, out you go, no more love or teaching for you.
