Is the vote close enough that they can’t override? The article says party line vote, and it looks like they outnumber folks 28 to 9 in the state senate, so I’m not sure it will die with a veto.

Hmm, looks like Kentucky only requires a simple majority in both houses to override the veto, which makes me question what the purpose of the veto is.

If any Democrat, anywhere, takes any position re: McConnell other than “you can kiss my whole asshole” they can line up right behind him for their chance at the wall.

I don’t even know what is happening.

Oh man, the bots need to get their politicians down. Not that it matters, the message gets across to the right audiences anyways, no matter the actual facts.

Remember how much Burr is attacked from the right, by collaborating with Dems in the senate and not completely rolling over into a Trumpist. Some of this is the Trump right seizing the moral high ground to push out a less-Trumpist.

He’s super Trumpist, people are just mad he got caught lining his pockets.
Gaetz is probably mad Burr didn’t give him a head’s up so he could line his.

I actually wondered if that was the reason Tucker Carlson had a go at him as well…

If Burr is replaced, there’s a special election , that might cost them a seat, especially if Jeff Jackson goes for the seat.

And the Democratic governor could appoint a replacement in the mean time. I think it’s very unlikely that he resigns now. Maybe after Trump loses.

In NC , the parties select replacements until a special election.

“look if you were patriotic you’d die for the economy, we’d never raise your taxes though”

Its why they so fervently oppose the “death tax”.

Pro Life indeed:

Fox’s Brit Hume says it’s an “entirely reasonable viewpoint” to expect that grandparents would be willing to die to protect the economy

Get on it, Brit. You’re no spring chicken. What the hell are you waiting for?!

When asked about raising taxes to further protect the economy, those same grandparents respond with “no fucking way, ever.”

Was Hume always as big a douche as he seems now, or did he devolve over time?

He’s gotten worse since he became a Fox drone. People immersed in that fantasy bubble seem to really start to believe their bullshit
