“Diversity” is the Conservative byword for “Liberals, minorities and everyone else”. Over and over I hear conseratives say there’s nothing anyone can do in America because we’re too “diverse”. It’s impossible to govern America because we’re too “diverse”. It’s impossible to fix America because we’re too “diverse”.

All that “diverse” means to them is that I don’t recognize “liberals, minorities and everyone else” as Real Americans and I forfeit my responsibility and/or duties toward them. And therefore, they should forfeit their ability to influence or ask anything or me in any way. I can’t make them do what i want them to do (stop being diverse), so they can’t make me do what I want to do (reject diversity). Diversity means I can’t have exactly what I want, which is as bad as losing, so diversity = losing.

Obama was “too polite” or “too statesmen-like” to understand the threat Trump and the GOP posed, so he’s partly responsible for Trump winning.
