She sounds like a thoughtful and serious public servant.
So this is super interesting, in terms of capturing shifting tides of perception of the GOP/how the Lincoln Project part of the GOP wants to be perceived:
Trump is being chased by the ghosts of what the Lincoln Project is putting forward as the good-guy Republican presidents in the cartoon: Lincoln, TR, Eisenhower and … Grant.
Grant would not have made the list 20 years ago. He has seen his rep climb substantially in that time.
But that’s not the interesting part. It’s who is conspicuous by his absence. (Hint: he’s the reason many of the people running the Lincoln Project became Republicans in the first place.)
