The Texas GOP convention is probably not going to happen. They want it to happen, but the mayor of Houston does not want a superspreader event and has killed it. The Texas GOP is suing to force Houston to allow it, but they just lost their first round and are appealing to the Texas supreme court. Which, from what I’m hearing, isn’t any more likely to allow them to do it.

I believe the Texas GOP never had any serious belief that a 6000 person indoors event would really happen for the last month or so. They just want the theatrics and pageantry of playing victim to the evil Democratic mayor of Houston.
