DeAnna isn’t a real candidate though. She’s a crackpot who is trying to go up against Pelosi. She’s got zero chance.
I don’t think she’s even on the general ballot, Got 1.8% in primary.

The GOP is now too racist for, checks notes, right wing militias:

A Right-wing militia not wanting to associate themselves with state Republicans because they’re too racist would have been a funny Onion article a few years ago.
Right wing militia distancing themselves from the GOP. Former Republican front-runners speaking out in favor of Joe Biden and speaking at the Democratic National Convention. Dozens of former White House staff on record as saying the Administration is corrupt and incompetent. And we’re not even at peak 2020 yet!
But somehow, some way, 30% of the country still worships these racist, fascist, ignorant assholes, and another 40% can’t be bothered to get up off their fat asses and vote, so we’re facing the real possibility of four more years of this shit.

If re-elected we’re looking at a lot more than four more years of this, unfortunately.
Nutjob Laura Loomer climbing the Trump party ladder.
Someone needs to talk to the art department. The models and the textures are awful.

I’m not feeling too good about this Munsters reboot.
Ha ha – is that pic for real? Gaetz looks zombified and Loomer is doing an Yvonne DeCarlo impersonation. The “Congratulations” looks like it was written in blood. Man, that is funny.
Republicans already acting like the opposition party even while they hold the WH and Senate. It’s all they now how to do. (
That brings me to the explanation for GOP behavior that is almost unanimous among Senate Democrats I’ve spoken to. They believe Republicans are readying themselves to run the strategy against former Vice President Joe Biden they ran against President Obama: Weaponize the debt — which Republicans ran up by trillions during the Trump administration — as a cudgel against anything and everything the Democrats want to do. Force Democrats to take sole ownership of an economic response that’s too small to truly counteract the pain.
If Republicans are behaving like an opposition party that primarily wants to stop Democrats from doing anything, that’s because it’s the role they’re most comfortable playing, and one many of them expect to reprise soon.
Pwn teh libs is a great philosophy for winning elections and awful at actually governing.

I feel like own the libs may be less effective at winning elections moving forward, specifically because now we’ve seen how bad they are at governing.
The counter to this strategy, should the Dems win and the GOP attempt to fall back on obstructionist government and blame transference, is for Democrats in office and the media to literally begin every single public speaking appearance, legislative speech or news broadcast with something along the lines of “We all know how terrible the last four years have been…”.
We’ve been here before. In Obama’s first term the GOP spent every waking moment trying to frame the economic disaster he inherited from the Bush Administration as Obama’s failure, even as his Administration was repairing the damage and economic numbers were on the rise. Then, in the 2016 campaign, they went right back to the well, claiming that one of the best economic recoveries in the history of the country was somehow “an economy in ruins”, despite the fact that the numbers were up for years leading into the election, and then continued rising afterwards while the Trump Administration simply rode the wave (or, as they put it, “rebuilt the American economy from disaster to success”).
It’s time to take a page from the GOP playbook and use messaging and the media to control the narrative. What is happening in America now is a disaster of epic proportions, it’s hard to argue otherwise. Hundreds of thousands of people dead, millions more infected with who knows what long-term consequences, and tens of millions of people unemployed, all because our current Administration couldn’t mount an effective response even though they had the time, the money, the access to experts and plans, and the logistical capacity to do so months ago. Incompetence of the highest order. This needs to be broadcast loud and clear on a daily basis for everyone to hear, even after the election, and especially if Joe Biden wins. We cannot let people forget how bad it was under Trump, we have to call out the GOP when they attempt to obstruct Biden’s Administration and we have to keep reminding 70% of America that the other 30% of the country literally cannot be trusted to do the right thing for all of us, or even themselves.

I agree 100%. The messaging strategy shouldn’t be too hard here, but somehow the Dems always screw that up.
Christ, I hope you’re right, but I will be very surprised if anyone learns anything from this.
