I know the cruelty is the point with those guys, but man that sucks. Wolves are super cool and they’ve really been making great strides at restoring their range in recent years. It’s been a low key success story that I’ve really enjoyed.

Rules not for me, but for thee.

How in the hell do you have a zoom meeting while you’re driving?

At least he was wearing a seatbelt!

look, it’s like poll watcher qualified immunity

Yet another Republican who’s a rapist.

That sounds so stupid that it can only be Republicans setting up a new slush fund.

This guy is running for DA in Philly.

Check this out, which is literally on his website.

“A lot of people are asking questions about my website, which are already answered by my website!”

That’s a pretty crazy story, but I’m not sure what you’re saying by posting it. This guy was wrongfully accused by a political rival who later went to jail. It makes sense for him to have this info on his site, IMO.

Well, a few things.

First, this was a 58 year old dude dating a 26 year old girl.

Second, I’m not sure I buy into the story that he was necessarily falsely accused.

Third, he suggests that having a .45 BAC means that 45% of your blood is alcohol.

Ah… It looks like he’s since changed his site, to remove some stuff that people were making fun of, like the 45% comment… he also had some good comments in there previously about gay bashin here a screenshot summertime took off that one…

You say that like it’s a bad thing (written by 56yo dude).

Back to the salt mines, slaves!

They’re just pricks, aren’t they? The money they will no longer provide comes from the Federal government, not the states. I guess it causes (potentially) a small bit of inflation and of course having to pay higher wages to attract workers is just terrible.

I mean, the stimulus money is done with in early September anyway. I wish voters would wake up and realize when they vote for the GOP they are voting against their own interests.

If people in your state think $1200/month is enough to not go back to work, that’s something you really need to worry about.

$1200 a month plus 100% of whatever your unemployment benefit turns out to be. It’s only short term, but for a lot of people it’s more money a month than they ever made, or likely to make in the near future.

Sounds like the problem is the amount being paid to begin with.

In Missouri it’s $320/wk from the state and $300/week from the federal government. Combined that’s $15.50 per hour. There probably are some people content to receive that rather than take a job that doesn’t pay much more than that.

And I believe there are other states that pay more than Missouri.

Or less than that. There’s a massive shortage of food service workers here with every place putting up huge now hiring signs and some having to shorten hours due to staff availability - and then you see that they’re offering $10/hr to work fast food. I don’t blame a single person that chooses to not work and make half again as much.

The business owners want this to go away as soon as possible because they’re scared of a work force that has options and won’t accept being constantly shit on while smiling for their minimum wage paycheck.
