I would assume the NAACP and LULAC are well aware that these numbers are exactly why the Texas GOP made sure only white people were appointed to the committee to hammer out just how badly Texas wants to fuck over non-white voters, they just wanted to put it in writing to see what response would go on record.
The GOP all over America is no longer saying the quiet parts out loud, theyāre screaming them from the rooftop of every statehouse they can control. On the one hand, it is terrifying. We cannot let these people regain control of Congress and the White House, or our Republic as we know it is finished. On the other hand, things like this are the new Trumpisms. We may not have his royal orangeness in the White House spewing his daily dose of outrageous insanity to keep us all inflamed, but the GOP is doing a damn fine job of taking up the mantle. We just have to hope enough stuff like this continues into 2022 and 2024 that it mobilizes people to get out and vote the shitstains out of office (assuming people can still vote by then).
