hahaha, fair I missed that.

Lets just say my cranky level is maxed today between getting slammed with work and unruly kids, so I should probably not post much today as such errors are much more likely due to my already maxed irritation.

Cults often require you to cut off ties to your family.

Bush politicians are like those Youtube videos that have been reposted and compressed over and over again. Each new iteration is shittier than the last.

If MSNBC wasn’t just making shit up on the Brian Williams show last night, the abject submission goes so far that this Bush’s campaign had a beer cozy (koozie?) made with an image of Trump saying “this Bush is one of the good ones” or something to that effect.

I’m confused. Does TFG think the Bush family is black?

The actual quote was: “This is the Bush that got it right. I like him.” On a beer cozy emblazoned on the other side with George P Bush for Attorney General. The tweet below is savage (and awesome).

TFG? The former guy?

Does this whole event count as the Streisand Effect? Because I never knew about Civil Wat Event before the guys Mic was cut off, and I doubt anyone would have commented on it, if he had just given his speech.

Has this petty evil created more good by accident?

A lovely sentiment well expressed.

Yes, or you can use something stronger for the F on days that warrant it :)

And that’s also what I get for not clicking on your link.

Yeah, fuck these folks who cut the mic. I’m not defending them. They should resign.

But I keep finding myself at least attempting to understand why that happened. It’s nice and cathartic to say “cunt” and end it there but Chloe Zhao’s quote has been on my mind lately: “At birth, people are inherently good.”

And I feel like I may have had similarly wrong-headed feelings about race a decade or two or three ago. It was almost like denial was progress. I think many white Americans who otherwise mean well just don’t understand how racist it is when they deny race.

This scene in The Hate U Give captures it nicely.

(It’s a surprisingly good film with complex issues in an easily digestible YA plot.)

So them not wanting to have the Memorial Day presentation turn to race because “we’re not racist” makes a perverse sort of sense. Plus it’s so easily exploited by Tucker Carlson et al. I don’t know. I just find myself wishing I could understand exactly, specifically what they were thinking when they cut the mic. Then I could know whether to punch them or explain to them where their reasoning went so badly off the rails.

Again, yes, fuck them, cunt, etc. Not our job to teach them, I get all that and agree. But our hateful backlash to what they did is its own sort of downward spiral that I’m not thrilled to be a part of even though I share the feeling.

I’m happy to report that your wish was granted:

Yay, problem solved!

Evil.

Mo Brooks tossing his hat into the ring for the stiff competition that is dumbest MoC:

13 hours later and the pic is still on his twitter feed.

Don’t try to log into his account… It’s a honeypot! The deep state will come around and arrest everyone who breaks in.

In those states, i’d accept the murkowskis of the world in the dems if they’d agree to vote for Schumer and HR1.

Murkowski, Manchin et al have the ability to stop being evil any time they choose. They are god damned United States Senators.

I believe that those guys, including some members of the GOP like Murkowski, support the alternative John Lewis Voting Rights Act.
