“Hatey miles an hour” - that’s great.

EDIT: just read the twitter replies - looks like that sentiment is universal. Hadn’t heard that phrase before.

Should be Hatey eight, or the more transparent Hatey Hate.

First time hearing that for me as well. Fantastic.

When you hit Hatey-Hate miles per hour you’re immediately transported to the Jim Crow era.

I don’t know how I am going to use that phrase yet, I just know I am going to one day.

Queue surprise:

Person who makes her living judging and heckling people has thoughts.

Texas Constitution:

ARTICLE 3. LEGISLATIVE DEPARTMENT

Sec. 14. PRIVILEGE FROM ARREST DURING LEGISLATIVE SESSION. Senators and Representatives shall, except in cases of treason, felony, or breach of the peace, be privileged from arrest during the session of the Legislature, and in going to and returning from the same.

(Amended Nov. 2, 1999.) (TEMPORARY TRANSITION PROVISIONS for Sec. 14: See Appendix, Note 1.)

This isn’t a Papal Conclave.

Of course not, the leader is just an Abbott.

SONOFABITCH! #KeyandPeelesubsituteteachertableflip

That’s 9 Matthew McConaughey’s in punishment.

Harsh, but fair.

My sister, who lives in Texas, says that there are a hell of a lot of Texans who would vote for McConaughey for Governor should he actually decide to run. It’s not all Austin/Houston/Dallas/San Antonio Democrats either, she says he’s pretty well loved among the red-leaning folks as well. Normally I’d be skeptical that someone with so little political experience could be an effective governor, but after so many years of people like Abbott, DeSantis and Trump fucking things up, why not give someone who at least genuinely wants to try and do good a chance to do good?

Plus it’d be fun seeing Republicans denounce the idea of an actor becoming a Governor.

I’m all in, baybee! I’ve seen DeathSantis in action and I’ll vote for anyone with a pulse who isn’t as shitty in any future election. I recommend those in Texas and other fucked places do the same.

This seems obvious yet it continues to work for millions of Americans.
