I’m not a fan of that behavior. Yes, there’s lots of media leaks about an apparent, ongoing investigation into him paying for sex with both adult and underage girls, but pedophile is a horrible accusation to casually throw around. At least until someone is actually convicted in a court of law for said crime.

I understand your point, but I make a “public figures” exception for politicians elected to national public office. They should goddamn know better than to be even close to a situation that could be construed that way. And if they do get publicly called upon it they should be able to promptly produce evidence/witnesses to shut that shit down fast. Failure to do so means they are, at the very least, incompetent politicians who don’t know how to manage their image and should expect to be called names.

Also, let’s not forget, the evidence against Gaetz that we already know, indicate that calling him a pedophile is not an inaccurate claim.

Whether he would be convicted in court is another matter, but it is a justly earned moniker.
