Poor Brianne. Doesn’t get PTO, doesn’t get sick days. Pretty tough spot to choose between going to work knowing you’re sick or not making your rent or car payment this month. Maybe even not make it through the week with enough groceries.
Fuck everything about that tweet.
EDIT: And seriously, those “I’m such a hard worker! I’m going to work sick!” people? Fuck all of you. Yeah, I’m talking to you, guy in the back discretely trying to blow your nose. Fuck you. No one’s impressed that you went to work sick, we’re all just pissed you likely got half the office sick and we’re going to bring it home to our families. And that’s without being in the pandemic.
I work with a guy who’s done that for years. Thinks he looks good making an effort to come in, knowing he’s going to get sent home. Same guy who refuses to get vaccinated despite catching Covid this spring and having it lay waste to him for weeks.
That is exactly the Josh Mandel we have come to expect.
