He posted a truly terrible Attack on Titan video with the opening theme intercut poorly with random border patrol and other nonsense where AOC is a titan that he (the hero) kills with his swords. Then at the end he’s jumping at the Collosal Biden Titan.

So obviously he’s saying to kill AOC and Biden. Or something. 90% of people who watched it weren’t left with a feeling of threat so much as pure confusion of what the hell they just watched. Attack of Titan would be confusing enough, throwing random live-action footage of dudes riding horses around and shitty photoshopping of AOC’s face on a titan that you can’t even recognize for half a second more so.

Edit: Imagine the worst, most cringe-worthy AMV on Youtube and now make it five times as terrible and put AOC and Gosar’s face in it. Then have it presented by a dude that doesn’t even know what anime is, but is really trying to appeal to the incel waifu crowd like he’s a hip youth or whatever.

Paul Gosar supporters are 100% incel losers at this point.

Also, how does Gosar get away with only allowing certain items to reply to his tweets? Like (speaking of incel losers) that Ian cheong loser could reply to his tweets despite not being mentioned.

Didn’t some legal decision indicate that it was illegal for official Government accounts to do that, as it amounted to censorship?

There is some option that lets only people you follow reply. I’ve seen people use it before.
No idea how it’s done, but I know it’s a thing, because I’ve run into it. A couple accounts I follow use it constantly, which is annoying, but whatever, they’re mostly there as a data point and I don’t have much to say to them anyway.

I think that’s just blocking, but I never really paid attention to how that ruling came down.

Oh, sorry, yeah I know how he did it on a technical level, I wasn’t sure if what he was doing was actually legal, since he’s doing it from his actual government account.

Basically, only certain right wing pieces of shit can reply to his tweets.

Just as the Second Circuit found in Knight First Amendment Institute v. Trump , the Eighth Circuit concluded that even government officials’ nominally private accounts can in fact be used for official purposes—in which case it would violate the First Amendment for these accounts to block followers based on their viewpoints. The Eighth Circuit made it clear that “the essential character of a Twitter account” is not “fixed forever,” explaining that “[a] private account can turn into a governmental one if it becomes an organ of official business.”

But Chuck Schumer said something totally factual about GOP obstruction which upset Joe Manchin so that excuses and justifies the GOP’s incivility.

In today’s episode of “Of course they are!”

The majority of the Rs that voted for it (in the House - 19 voted yes in the Senate less than 3 months ago) are in the “Problem Solvers” Caucus and/or in the NY/NJ area.

I imagine that they all think its a tough sell to tell voters that I voted against 100 billion in construction projects (badly needed ones) in the NY/NJ area.

Dr Paul Gosar lol

What do you call someone who failed outta med school? A dentist! rimshot

Exactly the episode I was thinking of but was too lazy to link.

JFC. How on earth have we come back to Nixon, Hoover and the rest of those morally corrupt authoritarians using elected authority to punish political foes using law enforcement…

Florida’s top statewide law enforcement agency created a criminal intelligence bulletin against a Democratic National Committee member who is one of the governor’s most visible critics just because of his derogatory social media posts.

DNC member and podcaster Thomas Kennedy is the featured person of interest in a 4-page intelligence document from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) dated July 14th, 2020. He is also a critic of the governor and frequently a political protester.

And he is not alone on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ enemies list.

The DeSantis Administration’s Director of Communications issued a written responsibility statement for directing police action against Kennedy using the enemies list in an email this May for the initial report which led to the discovery of the enemies list during her first day on the job.

It just means we’re inching closer to our Preston Brooks moment.

At least the Bernie Sanders anime meme was good.

Also for Joe walsh, the bad policies of the Republican party of the past 40 years, those still championed by the Never-Trumpers, are why we’re in this mess. this is why I get so angry with certain folks here.

That seems super illegal.

This is an amazing observation from the data. Republican voter views on crime shift immediately when party control of the White House changes.

That’s a very clear illustration of the concept that the right wing media creates perceived reality in the minds of their viewers. I’ve felt this was true for years but having hard stats is always illuminating.
