Being charitable to Abbot, you could say that Abbot meant that people started their journey in South Africa before illegally crossing the Southern border into Texas. Veteran Republican leader Bob Dole dies

Bob Dole’s death was announced in a statement from the Elizabeth Dole Foundation: “It is with heavy hearts we announce that Senator Robert Joseph Dole died early this morning in Bob Dole’s sleep. At Bob Dole’s death, at age 98, Bob Dole had served the United States of America faithfully for 79 years.”

Earlier this year Dole had said that Bob Dole was receiving treatment for lung cancer.

I think Dole’s only Senate legacy was helping to kill the first attempt at universal health care, when he was the Senate majority leader. As candidate for President, his principal legislative agenda was built around…tax cuts.
