Bills of Attainder are specifically ruled out by the Constitution.

It’s aggravating that the Justice Department is proceeding so slowly, but let’s not forget that TFG spent four years hounding anyone with integrity or competence out of the federal government and it’s going to take years to recover from that.

I’m pretty sure that Congress has the power to throw you in jail on their own for contempt.

I just looked it up, this is how it would work:
Congress would invoke its inherent contempt power, which does not depend on the executive branch to prosecute, or the courts to rule on.

Instead, Congress would hold their OWN trial of the individual, and if they find the individual guilty of contempt, they can then hold the individual in custody until either they comply, or the session of Congress ends.

The Nunes thing doesn’t make sense. Why would he step down? Unless he has no choice. Did they dig up enough evidence of corruption but they are unwilling to make it public? So he gets to quietly step down

Who would have dug it up? Republicans? They don’t care about corruption. They’d probably give him a medal. If it’s Democrats why hush it up? They’d want to parade his head on a pike.

Ok good points but what’s in it for Nunes? I’m assuming he’s rational. Why let go of the reins of power?

Huge sacks of money? Oh, also, his district in California was redrawn and was going to be more competitive next year.

Massive grifting I’d guess. And maybe a chance of being Trump’s VP selection.

Good point. With Pence, um, somewhat unlikely to earn a repeat performance the competition to suck up enough to Trump to be his VP if he runs again will probably start heating up over the next year.

This is the timeline where we end up with President Gaetz isn’t it

He’s the one who will finally switch us to watering our crops with Gatorade.

He doesn’t really have that much power, even when the Republicans control the House. He’s just a member of the House of Representatives. Conversely, he can probably expect to be paid 10x more per year than his congressional seat pays if he goes to work for TFG. Assuming he actually gets paid and doesn’t get fired in a week, that is.

Well, why wouldn’t a farmer know about the electrolytes plants need?

If he doesn’t know I’m sure his cow does.

Reminder:
Devin Nunes is not a farmer

If he isn’t a farmer, then how does he know to water his crops with Gatorade?

One thing that’s funny is that Nunes constantly tries to create the illusion that he’s a farmer, but doing all of his interviews from inside farm museums and crap, with tractors on display behind him.

Dude, real farmers don’t need to go to a museum to see a Tractor.

I’m getting the distinct impression Timex isn’t familiar with what’s being referenced.

Wait! Timex voted for President Camacho?

Camacho at least recognizes the need to listen to smarter people around him.

I knew a guy who was the spitting image of Luke Wilson. He never watched Idiocracy. I bought him a DVD hoping he’d remedy this.
