Republicans luv the big corps! It kills me that they’ve convinced so many peons to vote for them / vote against their own self good.

Yea, but the corporate world as a whole isn’t exactly in the front of making the world a better place.

Fuck these guys

Honestly, I will buy a one-way ticket to Moscow for any of these SOBs who want to experience Putin’s Christian nation, first hand.

Sycophants do well there too, though.

Good Christian unprovoked wars of conquest. Onward Christian soldiers.

Especially since Protestants get arrested for… being Christians there.

But guys, Putin takes care of his citizens!!

I have a new slogan the GOP can get behind: Let’s Go Pranton

I feel that most of the GOP is ‘normal’ but the remainder (that came into being since 2016) are all attention whores. Want some exposure? Say stupid shit. It worked for Trump and these other grifters are doing it.

I don’t think there is a ‘normal’ wing of the GOP.

They keep telling us who they are:

We should believe them.

That’s a nicely punchable face.

For some reason the proverb about what you have when you have five people sit down to dinner with a Nazi comes to mind.

I wouldn’t go that far.

Sending them to Kyiv is plenty far enough.

Ukrainians have enough to worry about without more foreign saboteurs.

But this is also what makes America great. In the real exceptional sense, not the MAGA sense. I may profoundly disagree and even despise what’s being said at that white nationalist conference, but I want to protect their First Amendment rights to say it.

We’re not at formal war with Russia. Even if we were, there will always be a contingent in any democracy who are sympathetic with the “enemy”. It’s a strength of America that we allow them to speak their feelings, as long as the rest of us can equally speak our minds in fierce opposition.

The sad and frustrating part is that faction (MTG, white nationalists, MAGA-heads) often don’t extend the same respect to others. I remember in GWB’s Iraq War, how any criticism, no matter how tepid, was excoriated as disrespecting the flag, not supporting the troops, etc.

I don’t know how to solve that problem, where we honor and protect their First Amendment rights, but they often try to suppress mine.

Is anyone saying they don’t have the right to say what they’re saying? I’m not.
