Ya, that’s why they’d love nothing more than to have those evil activist courts make it so that they had no choice but to ban MTG from running.
They’re cowards, so they don’t want to stand up for what’s right on their own… but if someone else “forces” them to do what’s right, and it’s what they want to do anyway, it gives them a chance to shrug their shoulders and complain that someone else did it.
I feel like there is a simpler answer to why they don’t act to remove her.

Thinking about MTG’s memory lapses, one thing I recall is a mentor early in my career advising me to always tell the truth, no matter how hard it might be. It’s easy to remember the truth, he said, and if I tell a lie, I know I’m too stupid to remember later what lies I have told.
Of course, in her case, she’s probably lying about what she does and doesn’t remember. But it is a problem for habitual liars, remembering later what they did and didn’t say.
