I remember the olden days - 2015 - when a GOP up-and-comer saw his dreams of House leadership dashed by his own party when word went around that he was having an extramarital affair with another member of Congress.
And the name of that up-and-comer? Kevin McCarthy. Who went on to … become Minority Leader in 2019. Because as soon as Trump got elected, the GOP threw it all out the window and decided that any kind of sexual hijinks were OK for the GOP, up to and including cruising for teenagers. (Don’t forget, it wasn’t the GOP that rejected Roy Moore - it was the voters.)

Jesus, I didn’t realize any of that. What a horrible party.

How dare the media question this guy’s classified missions in Afghanistan?
Until you read further and find out Airman Majewski job was to load aircraft.
He was discharged (I guess honorable) with a rank of E2 after 4 years. How bad of a fuckup to you need to be to only get a single promotion in 4 years?
Does anybody get Top Secret clearance as an E2?

He should ask Trump to telepathically declassify the records so he can prove it.
As someone who’s worked for the AF for over 30 years, you got to be a box of rocks to only make E2. They practically throw those chevrons at you.
If the guy is lying the military should say as much. It’s ridiculous that he’s trying to hide behind another lie.

Make him show his DD214. That would clear things up pretty quick probably.
Yeah, that’s spectacularly bad, particularly in wartime. Not really the reward you’d expect from carrying out classified ops in Afghanistan.

Maybe, but there is this from the article @Pyperkub linked earlier. not sure what that really means, but I infer it to be “not good”:
There’s also the matter of Majewski’s final rank and reenlistment code when he left active duty after four years of service.
Most leave the service after four years having received several promotions that are generally awarded for time served. Majewski exited at a rank that was one notch above where he started. His enlistment code also indicated that he could not sign up with the Air Force again.
I guess you can’t make this stuff up.
Examples in the thread.

Second question - Yes.
First question - Something happened there.
Yup.
So GOP presidential material, then.

I read somewhere (maybe even the same article) that he was demoted at some point. He’s not worth my time to look for it again, so you’re on your own.

He had to have been demoted. You get e3 automatically after 2 years.
I’m an authority on this subject. I was in the air force and was demoted from e2 to e1 as punishment for an article 15. I still managed to leave after 4 years as an e4. So this guy was king fuckup of fuckupville.

Like I said, something happened there with him.
In the Army, at least, most soldiers make E2 during basic or advanced individual training - so before you even make it to your first real duty assignment.
Again. Nothing but GOP presidential material.
I think his clandestine work in Afghanistan required that he be an e2. Of course he can’t tell you why, as it is all still very hush hush and on the QT.

You literally just need to exist and not thrown out.
