I’m paraphrasing but basically the awful phrase “warfighter” harks back to the full-time warriors who fight for loot and glory, and see themselves as aside and above the civilians.

As opposed to “soldiers”,who are part of civil society and remain civilians in uniform regardless whether that is temporarily or as a permanent profession.
Soldiers are there to do a job, including moving supplies.

“Warfighter” is a toxic phrase.
