I know this is not news for anyone around here, but still, fucking scary stuff about how the Republicans in Wisconsin have rigged almost all state government so they can never lose, and even when they do, like when Tony Evers won the gubernatorial election there in 2018, they just change the rules of the game to figuratively emasculate the office in a lame-duck session (which is what they in fact did before Scott Walker left office, and BTW IIRC what the Virginia legislature did a few years before when a Dem governor was elected there, right?). It’s basically Leninism–all that’s missing is the Cheká, and that can’t be far behind:
