MINORITY leader. Which I assume you knew - but it loses snark value when you make the typo.

Jesus Fucking Christ. NSFSanity spoiler that shit!
Is that Scott? How does a walking skeleton get elected? Heās freaky.
āForget it, Jake. Itās Florida.ā

Well, the theft of a SCOTUS seat that should have been an Obama nominee had something to do with it as well.
As to Scott, the Colbert show never tires of showing that pic where heās a dead ringer for Voldemort in the Harry Potter movies. :-D

McConnell has been reelected. Tells bitch members of his caucus to step off.
Itās a caucus that deserves to be stepped on.

I think we should abandon the premise that a rough primary hurts the eventual nominee. As long as that nominee is Trump.
The party will line up behind Trump no matter what if he gets the nomination.
The only wild card is what Trump might do if he doesnāt win the primary.
Golly, you donāt think he would try and burn down the party out of pettiness and spite, do you?
Nope. I think he would try to burn down the party out of pettiness, spite, and grift.
The dream is for Trump to register as a third party candidate, maybe for the MAGA Party he creates. Let him split the vote with the GOP nominee.

Or what Trump might do to those who ran and/or supported others during the primaries. Trump could alienate members of the GOP by his actions upon winning the nomination.

Oh. That would be too bad.

Again, thatās not really a thing. The party will coalesce around Trump if and when he gets the nomination, no matter what he does during the primary. There may be individual defections, like there were in 2016, but as a whole, the party knows that their only chance at winning is if they are unified.

Hereās hoping the words Trump and Unified donāt go together any more. (Not that they ever did!)
It will be interesting to see what DeSantis does. Heās 44 so if he decides to sit it out he can run in '28. Thatās only six years away.
He could also decide to step aside for Trump if Trump makes him the VP. Pence wonāt be on the ticket again. DeSantis would probably strengthen the ticket and thereās always a chance Trump kicks the bucket in office.

Not a lot of VPs on the losing ticket go on to later success as president. Just FDR and John Tyler?
At this point, Iām guessing DeSantis will seek the nomination.
