Harris also questioned the fact that Treasurer Kimberly Yee (R) won her election with a greater count of votes than any other candidate.

“How can a Republican State Treasurer receive more votes than a Republican Gubernatorial or Senate candidate?” Harris asked.

I guess those dastardly democrat election riggers forgot all about the Treasurer race(and your race too since you, you know, won) and that’s proof enough for her!

Democrats everywhere should encourage that kind of behavior.

It’s a shockingly… principled?*… stance that’s simultaneously pants on head crazy.

(* in the sense that they account for the outcomes of races other than their own)

I hear Finchem in AZ is insisting on a new election…which there will be when the term of the person who beat him like a rented mule is close to over.

Of course any election you didn’t should be run again! That’s so illogical it almost makes sense! The Cubs wouldn’t have gone 100 years between championships if they’d just followed this simple hack.

Typical

Yep. Elections matter. Except when they don’t.

Florida law requires anyone running for a new office to put in an irrevocable letter of resignation ahead of qualifying if the terms of the two offices overlap. The law was changed in 2008 to open the door for then-Gov. Charlie Crist to seek the vice presidency, but legislators reversed course four years ago and put back in a place a requirement that someone seeking federal office would have to resign ahead of the actual election.

Please note Crist was a Republican in 2008 (he switched to the Dems in 2012 IIRC) so this is not a “both sides” scenario but repeated GOP skullduggery.

I laughed because it’s true

Haha. No.

Well, yes. The GOP establishment’s problem with Trump wasn’t the policies and judges and whatnot (which after all, were barely distinguishable from what any of the other candidates would’ve done), it was that he was crude and not even slightly subtle (also applies to the outright corruption).

The GOP establishment has zero problems with Trump except they think he can’t win.

That is the only problem have.

I can’t remember if it was on Colbert’s show or what, or maybe on SNL’s Weekend Update, where the person mentioned that now that Blake Masters had lost his election bid he could go back to “strangling hitchhikers, I assume.” :-D

(He does kind of look the part.)

Stand back and stand by.

“But wait! There’s more! If you buy know, you’ll get this set of steak knives!”
