Preach it, brother, preach it. Sadly we are ignored. If only there was someone near you that you could talk to about this. :-)

Dude, you are so getting a like when I can do that again. But in the meantime, I have psychically pinged you with a like.

Are you implying that deep down, we like-likers want something other than likes?

You go, girl!

Like validation from anonymous strangers on the internet?

So, to give and receive likes. Validation schmalidation.

I miss seeing post count.[/quote]

I STILL KEEP TRACK. 49 posts to Neo Acoustic!

Oh.

I’m hitting that nonexistent LIKE button very hard. Especially at the part where Ira Glass joined the Gilmore Girls love-in.

Has there been any kind of pile on outside of this thread? (I don’t think there’s even one in this thread). Private likes don’t make sense to me. I don’t care if someone likes my post, I already know it’s brilliant. I want to see what other posts receive a lot of likes. For example, something that is TL;DR or maybe a link to to some kind of video that I can’t be bothered to click on. That is genuinely useful feedback.

Not really, but I think that the pile-ons happening in this thread certainly don’t help the case.

What piling on though? The fact that people that Like likes like posts that like likes shouldn’t be construed as piling on, but honest opinion. It’s ironic, but if the Anti Like Choice (ALC) could use likes (which would undermine their argument) you would seem a similar (if lesser amount according to the most recent polls) of likes on the posts of the opposition.

Let’s face it, even in the thread about likes, we don’t see piling on and this would be the place that it would be most obvious because the opposition can’t and won’t use Likes.

I don’t the see the people who have concerns about likes posting all over the board about likes in other threads like the pro-like crowd is doing, and how often do you see the hey I am not sure this is the best choice for our community voice with whatever the hell is going on in this thread now?

So, liking something has the same weight as stating it yourself?

Well, if that does support the argument that likes are a valuable form of communication, I am not sure what would. Likes = endorsement.

No, that means the Swiss court is crazy, that’s all.

This thread is pretty tough to follow, what is the general sense for how the community has reacted to likes and then not having them?

It’s complicated?

Are likes back yet?
