IMO, content-free YGG posts should be bannable.

If you pretty it up with a pertinent and not repeatedly used GIF or are clever about it, it’s the same as responding to the post and I’m cool with that.

But as @tomchick said up thread -

@legowarrior was quoting something I wrote to imply that I would support people peppering the forum with content-free “You go, girl!” posts. Which was either facetious or a misreading of what I was trying to express.

So I tried to clarify by comparing all the “You go, girl!” jokes to someone who thinks he’s being funny but is actually being annoying. Kind of being a dick, in fact, because I get the sense many of the people doing it are doing it with the implicit threat that this is what will happen if the likes aren’t turned back on.

That’s all I meant.

I want to make it clear that personally this is not my intention at all.

The YGG posts for me are like therapy and just an awesome insider forum joke. Also I do know that some people might be annoyed by them and try to keep that in mind actually when I post them.

Oh, no, no, there’s no need to apologize. I know it’s mostly done in jest, and to be fair, some of the jests have been pretty clever. What would be annoying is if it turns into some sort of “Attica!” protest cry if the likes don’t get turned back on. That’s what @legowarrior implied I supported.
