Last night I defrosted the two weed-egg-cheese cupcakes I had left and ate them. Their onset was long and slow but they took LONG to wear off.

I may have made some regrettable postings, but c’est la vie. Feel cleansed after a good long trip through introspection hell.

If there was ever a night, this certainly feels like it. Mourning the possible passing of democracy with Rochefort and Chimay Trappist ales.

Wasn’t planning on drinking tonight but with the news, yeah. I started with some gimlets because I felt like it… we’ll see where the night goes. To the democracy that my generation never really had.

It is a curious fact, and one to which no-one knows quite how much importance to attach, that something like 85 percent of all known worlds in the Galaxy, be they primitive or highly advanced, have invented a drink called jynnan tonyx, or gee-N’N-T’N-ix, or jinond-o-nicks, or any one of a thousand variations on this phonetic theme.
The drinks themselves are not the same, and vary between the Sivolvian ‘chinanto/mnigs’ which is ordinary water served just above room temperature, and the Gagrakackan 'tzjin-anthony-ks’ which kills cows at a hundred paces; and in fact the only one common factor between all of them, beyond the fact that their names sound the same, is that they were all invented and named before the worlds concerned made contact with any other worlds.

Dee-licious. Even with well gin. But quality gin is wasted on a gin and tonic; Gordon’s will do nicely.

Temps are dropping, which means IPAs, nutty scotches, and hard seltzers are out, and stouts, peaty scotches, and port are in!

Hard seltzer is my go to “l’m too lazy to do more than open this can” drink. Truth be told I do squirt a little bit of Mio into the glass too so I guess I’m not as lazy as I first thought.

Those cut-price prime day whiskeys have started to arrive. Naturally a thorough taste test of a dram (or two) of each has already lifted - or perhaps lilted - my spirits.

Anyone else going to be suffering from a primeover in the following days?
