If you don’t stop saying this I may have to go hunting. For some kind of food. In my house.

Okay I gave the doggies a chewy vitamin treat a bit ago, which sounds generically horrible. So henceforth I’ll refer to any food as chewy vitamin treats.

That’ weird, booze doesn’t usually cause munchies. I wonder what else RichVR has been enjoying this evening.

Tomorrow is 4/20, so … literally ANYTHING as long as it is infused. Hell, we have infused coconut oil and butter at the house. I mean, what can you NOT do at that point?

Drinking Aquavit? I worked at an aquavit distillery, for a bit. Goddamn I love that stuff. Best Bloody Mary you’ll ever have- like an alcoholic tomato sandwich on rye.

When you make Bloody Mary drinks at the house is there a mix you prefer or from scratch, etc? Anything better than Zing Zang?

Edit: also margarita numero tres.

Lately I usually buy some tomato juice concoction from Trader Joe’s? Don’t remember the exact thing.

My favorite as a bartender.

V8
lemon juice
wosterchestershire of ulm
horseradish
celery salt
hot sauce
much vodka
Stir with bacon, forget the vegetables

I like it. And as someone that uses celery salt quite a bit I think that’s a fantastic addition.

The heck is wosterchestershire of ulm though?

Sorry. Monty Python joke because I can never remember how to spell this.

Ahh, okay. Lea and Perrins is the primo choice. We have that!

That always makes me wonder, I have no idea who Lea and Perrins were but at some point they too were probably drunk and were like, “dude this is good, bottle this shit.”

Many recipes call for black pepper. I think the hot sauce is enough. Ground pepper ends up like sucking sand through a straw. Too gritty.

Cointreau is the best triple sec. So. Good.

Some things are objectively true.

Margarita numero quattro. I have to slow down here, the chewy vitamin treat is almost done. Temp is 161 at the bottom of the breast.

I had a Truly hard seltzer, does that count for anything? No?

Ok. 😕

How hard is hard?

@RichVR the chewy vitamin treat is done.

Winter is best for blood oranges but this is by far my favorite Marg if you are a cointreau fan:

Aren’t you in MI? Weed is like free there it seems. Visited and bought a terrifying amount for less than my normal small order costs here.

Nah, we’re in NC. In the heart of, “no no, we’re a Southern state, weed cannot be legal,” kind of thing. I’m gonna need some blood oranges for that drink. However, I’m at about a 50/50 of cointreau/tequila in my margaritas lately. I feel like the cointreau adds just enough sweetness to balance the lime juice.
