In time for the holidays, parenting website babyrabies.com presents its “inappropriate elf 2013” contest:

Previous year’s photo contests: 2012 and 2011.
I had to look up “waifu.” I still don’t get the joke in the first image. I must admit it raises my hackles a little bit because I suspect it includes some sort of backhand slam at feminism as well as guys who masturbate to female anime characters.
You forgot to include “not that there’s anything wrong with that.”

Apparently “I need feminism because…” is a thing.
Still doesn’t explain what those two pics have to do with each other.

It’s the same guy in both pics.
… now I don’t get the joke in the image and I also don’t understand what the point of that is supposed to be.
I don’t get a lot of the jokes in the images.
Near as I can tell, there are a lot of photos out there of women holding signs saying “I need feminism because <insert sexist practice>.” They aren’t intended to be jokes, they’re political. That site links to such photos and then mocks them.
While a few deserve to be mocked (how is getting injured by a branch sexist?) for the most part, that site demonstrates why we need feminism. It’s mostly dicks mocking real injustice because they’re dicks. Prime example: the caption on “I need feminism because no means no” (decrying date rape) is “I need feminism because I never play hard to get.” Thus demonstrating exactly the kind of asshole attitude that prompted the sign.
So the joke in the Waifu image makes sense now. If you’re familiar with the meme, the joke is that pretending that female anime masturbation pillows deserve to be treated as human beings. Whether the irony of applying it to a literal sex object is intentional or not is unknown. There is of course the other ironic aspect: we need do need feminism because waifus are a thing.
That’s fucked up. It’s a good explanation, Gus, but it’s a level of fucked up that’s hard to imagine. The sexist stuff isn’t hard to imagine, but the kid posing with a masturbation doll (seriously?) to mock feminism or feminist attitudes, just makes no sense to me. Is he high? In what circle does such a photograph increase one’s own standing? It’s just makes no sense.
Are we at all sure the first pic is not shopped anyway? Seems just as likely a 4chan kind of thing to do as the other alternative.

Why one should use the Oxford comma . . .

I want that on a t-shirt.
Ah yeah I figured. I’d think at the very least the hood would scrunched up quite a bit and you’d probably see the front end depressed quite a bit.
