How long are you going inbetween rebirths? As I’m playing, I’m starting to remember how…demanding this game is to play semi-optimally. I’ve got a little over 4 days of play, 96 rebirths so far, on about 1/2 hour intervals if I have the time.
By max out I mean that the bar on the bottom is solid and not flashing at all.

Ah, that takes 49 levels of energy. Any levels of energy you go above that actually add another multiplier to your total. That’s how you pull down the big bucks. For instance, going from level 48 to 49 takes you from 49 bar fills per second to 50: a 2% increase in GPS. But going from level 49 to level 50 adds a multiplier of 2, which is a 100% increase in GPS. It’s most definitely worth it to keep going.
I’ve got Yggsdrasil budding, rely on Wandoos, and am trying to collect Titan gear, so I usually go at least 2 hours between rebirths, and often 8-10 hours… unless I’m doing challenges. Then it’s usually 30 minutes to an hour depending on Wandoos. I’ve played 30 days and have 109 rebirths.
Speaking of Yggsdrasil, it seems like the fruit of gold gives you a multiplier to your current gold total. Is that correct? I don’t get consistent amounts of gold when I eat it, but sometimes I get enormous amounts.
From the wiki, it’s based off your current time machine multiplier.
Ygg will definitely change your run times to be longer. I think eventually it’s something like 12-24 hour runs being the most efficient to farm up Fruit of Knowledge, which combined with YGG NGU gives you some crazy EXP.
Right, but FoK isn’t too useful until you can buy the perks that boost it and the Troll Challenge that lets you max out Ygg at level 24.
Yup, but eventually it’s crazypants, AND kinda forces you into 24h runs, which is nice, given how fast paced the game can be for an incremental otherwise.
Oh yea once you get a few fruit up to level 24 you just want to rebirth every 24 hours. There are some Quirks you can take to reduce it to 23 if you really want to min/max your progress. Fruit of Knowledge will be your main source of EXP for a long stretch of the game. Long.

I playing Idle Planet Miner as well, but I am waiting for an update for that one.
Anyway, I made this thread to talk about them, and I have a question as well.
Does anyone know of any games with prestiging where you can respec the bonuses gained through prestige?
In a lot idle games, I always in up wishing I could just take points out of one thing and add to another. Of course, if a game had this option, it would probably need to include a cost or caveat to respecing those “prestige points”, or some way to balance it, I guess.
In Idle Planet Miner, there’s the “prestige” option of selling your galaxy for credits, and spending them on upgrades for every run after that. But, there’s also a 24 hr challenge. Starting a challenge prompts you to sell your current galaxy first, as a requirement, you then start a new one, with a 24 hr limit. At the end of the 24 hrs, you are rewarded stars on the resources you have unlocked (each star give +20% value to that resource), meaning X number of stars distributed across Y number of resources, where Y is EVERY resource you’ve EVER unlocked, and X is set equal to the amount of zeros after 100,000 in galaxy value. (1m=1*,10m=2*,100m=3*,1b=4*,etc.)
Also after the challenge is done, you have to wait 72 hours to start a new one. (you can end the challenge at any point and it will start the 72 hour clock there)
So, that presents a scenario where you have 20 or 30 or so resources, and getting maybe 4 or 5 stars each challenge, spread out across them at random.
That being said, the faster way to get credits in the game is to sell your galaxy at around 12.6 million value, netting 11 credits. (10 million is the soonest you can, netting 10 credits, getting to 12.6m instead of 10m is not that much longer and the next one up is 21m for 12 credits)
If you are indeed going to be selling at 12.6m every galaxy, you are not going to use hardly any of the resources in the game to get there. (around 15 total resources)
So, if you just stuck to those 15 or so resources, every galaxy sold at 12.6m, you would get the most credits for your time, AND every time you did a challenge, you would earn stars on ONLY those 15 resources, further speeding up your credits per hour.
The way people normally play the game, they push as far as they can during a challenge to get as many stars, and yes each star in its own right, is a nice bonus.
So I guess worse case scenario, you have 100 stars divided among the 71 total resources in the game(~1.4 average per resource), best case scenario you have 100 stars divided among only 15 resources(~6.66 average per resource).
even if you got banned for spamming, I am glad that I am off the waggon (or is it on the waggon) for idle clicker games. I played Cookie clicker for a year, until the grind was too much. Such a waste of time.

Thanks to people who mentioned NGU idle about a year ago. I just hit sadistic.
I do find that the incrementals I’ve been playing are pretty low maintenance - it feels more like every day I take a “turn” where a 24 hour run is set up to advance whatever I think will most help me progress, then you don’t need to touch the game again unless you have a desire to fiddle.
Sadistic is glacial. Which I suppose is fine since it’s the end and content might actually be wrapping up soon - one more planned Titan feature and whatever THE END ends up being. The dev (4G) is working on another idle game, NGU Industries:

Here’s a new incremental. It’s worth checking out for perhaps a few days, but it’s still early in development, so there’s a big wall that can’t be crossed that you’ll run into fairly quickly. It’s a variant on groundhog life.
I think it was released around Dec 30th, so hopefully the developer puts more work in and releases more features.
At least you didn’t spend the entire thread fighting with the spambot.
