The Knights of Shrunken Heads

A guy in London wants to start a WoW guild strictly for psychiatrists within the next few months. He says this will give them better access to their patients, but I imagine in the long run the enhanced perspective might be an even bigger accomplishment.

When it launches, Dr. Richard Graham is hoping Blizzard will waive account-related fees for participating shrinks and he plans to create a peer mentor program using existing WoW players as well.

I thought this avatar-related comment was interesting:

I think it’s already clear that psychiatrists will have to stay within the parameters of the game. They certainly wouldn’t be wandering around the game in white coats and would have to use the same characters available to other players,"

So many interesting questions. Should be fun to watch this play out, assuming Blizzard actually allows it to go forward as proposed (which I think they will).

Here’s a sort of problem statement I found online in the form of a slideshow presentation. Love the David Bowie Life on Mars quote. I haven’t been able to locate the real meat of Graham’s current proposal, though.

We all know what’s going to happen to these Psychiatrists the moment one of them decides to actually level their character out of curiosity or bordom.

Has Peter Ludlow commented anything in regards to this?

Doh! Sorry for the duplicate thread.
