I googled and found this webcam , sadly the last transmitted photo was from 9:20 am. I wonder if that house will be there tomorrow.

It’s definitely tracking back west to Florida now too. If it gets closer, there won’t be much time for evacuations.

A couple days ago, one of the analysts mentioned that the unbalanced radius around the eye was a good sign keeping it from getting too strong. It looks pretty damn symmetrical now.

What immortal hand or eye dare frame that fearful symmetry yo?

Incredible shot of the eye

For a second I thought that was from the ground…

I know Hurricanes are normally unpredictable but this one has seemed to be extra unpredictable. I have a feeling the collapsing steering currents and many other unusual aspects of this hurricane will be studied for a while.

Also the judging from the images I saw of places in the Grand Bahamas while they were in the eye, I’m not sure how the casualty rate isn’t going to be high by the time the other end passes through.

What am I looking at here? I watched 6 times and I can’t tell what that is floating past…

It really is an incredible sight. I assume the pilot knows what to do to keep safe.

Also, that hurricane now looks like it’s set to hit New Jersey. I guess I should call.

Looks like a palm tree to me.

Ah, that’s it. Thanks. The palm fronds looked almost like a horse kicking its legs.

These are the NOAA hurricane flights. They do them every 6 hours incredibly.

Yeah my sister says most of the hurricanes touch off the cost of NJ, and they expect it to drop considerably by the time it gets up there. After seeing the damage Sandy left, and we’re talking months, months after when I visited the are… I still check with them when a big one looks like that.

Florida facebook friend posted this on facebook, I guess its one of their local weather guys?

My in-laws are in Abaco, Bahamas. This is a scene from Marsh Harbor 10 miles from their house from a few hours ago:

Have you heard from them?
