It’s 65 in Seattle right now. Another typical PNW summer.

Stop talking about this! That’s how we got this Californian infestation!

Don’t forget, we don’t get much rain in the hottest months, at least 100 miles south of you where I live.

Beats the shit out of the midwest where I lived before.

Ummmm… yes… it rains ALL THE TIME. The dogs are evolving gills. Stay away. Stay away! Especially Californians.

Arctic blast here in Iowa on Thursday:

The thing with this summer in Seattle, so far, every weekend is cloudy/overcast/raining. We haven’t had a nice weekend in weeks. We did get a moderately nice Sunday yesterday at least.

Sunny weekdays and rainy weekends happen constantly in Seattle. I’ve spent more than 3 decades of my life here. But as I was remaking to a friend recently, the rainy-weekends thing is just especially brutal this year due to the pandemic.

But this past weekend was nice starting around Saturday afternoon. But it was cloudy and cool on Saturday morning when I did a really long bike ride. Appreciated that.

Yeah, sure looks like we’re gonna be breaking some records (of 90+ degree days) here in DC:

Yeah, we were pulling weeds Saturday morning, because of ALL THAT RAIN 🌧

Seriously, no one else should come here. It’s…uh…terrible

I am ready for some mid-70s weekends. We have had some of those days on weekdays, but my favorite thing to do in the world is to sit on my deck and drink coffee in the sun before everyone else is up. When its just be and the birds and its quiet. Sunday was the first day in a couple of months that we had that kind of weather (on a weekend.)

I am getting old, more and more I am thinking about retiring some where warm and sunny.

Some places the warm and sunny is too warm and sunny most of the day. There’s a reason snowbirds can be spotted in the wild.

I’m going to be working outside in 110d weather next week, so yea. 90d feels like spring. Those days suck when the low temperature doesn’t even get into the 70s since you’ll never cool off.

That sounds like cruel and unusual punishment.

This describes what I did yesterday, and how it feels in NoVa right now.

Saw this linked on Reddit and thought it was neat.

Looks like we’re getting one that will blanket the whole state. yay

Maybe it will wash the COVID away?

More like wash the bodies away.

It hit 37 C at Heathrow this afternoon. Thankfully it seems to be a one off, and we’re back in the 20s tomorrow.

Edit: 3rd hottest day ever, apparently.

DC gonna get drenched!
