I’m pretty sure it was invented for 2020 as a new way to screw everyone.
We had one here in DC 8 years ago - scared the shit out of me at the time :)
Me neither, but you’ve got to figure that as climate change continues to ramp up we’re going to get more and more new varieties of murderstorm that require their own name. And yes, murderstorm is definitely the name of my new metal band.
Just wait until the izquierdo hits
It’s wild that most of the midwest was devestated by a super storm causing billions in damage and lost crops and no one is really talking about it. It happened Monday and tons of people still don’t have power yet, even.
East coast news (Philly area) I think mentioned it once a day or two ago. Thats about it.
I saw it mentioned several times before it actually happened, but almost nothing since then covering the damage.

I saw a bunch of terrifying pics on my wife’s Facebook page she was showing me this morning, but I don’t know who shared them and I’m probably not friends/following them, so I went to a few local papers and grabbed some of the images they have on their site. It was pretty crazy, like a tornado went through all of Iowa and norther Illinois.
Yak, my apologies. I didn’t know anything about the struggles or hardships you are facing, so I wish you the best and if you need to type up and delete your posts then you do you. @KevinC I apologies to you as well.

That seems needlessly hostile.

You don’t need to apologize to me, man. I can’t make it a single day without being a jackass at some point. You’re a good dude and when I thought your post was a little harsh, I thought you would want to know – because I know you’re a good guy!
Well, I’ve been rubbed the wrong way several times by his posts in the past, he struck me as trollish at times, so this was just one of those straws that broke the camels back or whatever, I guess. But it sounds like there is a lot more going on than just someone who likes to get a rise out of folks. It’s important to remember there are real people typing up these posts on forums!
The Solipsists argue otherwise.
I’m definitely just a figment of your imagination, for the record.

It’s been on ABC news every night since it started. Hope you guys are safe.
Hit Chicago pretty good as well. Even walking through the neighborhood yesterday (had to get a crown recemented, and my dentist is w/in walking distance), I was amazed at all the trees and big limbs still down on the sides of the streets - moved out of the way for cars, but still there. We were lucky enough to escape any damage, but just a couple blocks away there were big limbs and trees blown over. And about 5-6 blocks away, I definitely saw some structural damage.
Was wondering why I wasn’t seeing any coverage of this on the cable news networks.
About 40% of Iowa’s crops were wiped out
To be fair, it wasn’t like Iowa was the only place hit hard, We had something like 11 (!) tornados in the Chicago area from that same storm, including one in the city - which never happens. I’ve been so caught up in local damage (fortunately, we didn’t get any - came close with a large tree branch that landed inches from our garage) that I haven’t even seen coverage of other places.
The world is following the timeline of John Ringo’s The Last Centurion more closely than I’m comfortable with.
