With both Eta and Goni I guess humanity is taking it in both ends now.

@RichVR I guess someone noticed we were getting missed

So something like this then:

I will not use that map to make decisions!

The tendrils are reaching, searching…

…where is Louisiana?

That has definitely been the theme of the year

Looks like the Florida to Luisiana deflection shield is active again

Actually, the latest GFS run has it going back into FL near Tampa.

ETA GFS

NOLA must’ve buffed their shield finally.

The forecasts all agree it will remain a tropical storm the rest of its existence.

That means prepare for a cat 4, everyone.

Yeah but it seems like the NOAA is favoring the Euro, which has it going west of florida

ecmwf_uv850_vort_seus_fh24-240

The Euro has it curving west, but then coming back for another landfall on the FL panhandle. Which is still Florida last time I checked. ;)

GFS seems to be having a better run than the Euro this year, but truly once it gets in the Gulf it’s anyone’s guess…

Eh I grew up in the pan handle, it’s barely Florida :P

Makes for an interesting question. I lived in Tallahassee for a while. Is it part of the panhandle?

Hell, it felt like south Georgia more than Florida anyway.

LOL I lived in Tallahassee too and that was exactly what I was referring to

Oh, I agree - I lived there for 15 years and it’s Lower Alabama all the way. But technically

I grew up in Pensacola, affectionately referred to as SE Alabama

Or unaffectionate my referred to as “that shitty Air Force town west of us.”

St. Andrews, on the other hand, is lovely.

Those are the Blue Angels, not the Thunderbirds.

2020 continues to not disappoint.
