Good news!

Yep, snowing here at work along the mainline in PA.

South-central PA, we are at just over 5" per the snow stick at around 3:15PM here (approx 39.75, -76.96)

Been coming down heavy since about 12:30PM.

Expecting 9-15 inches when storm @John_Many_Jars shows up in MA this evening. My body is ready! We just went to the store and got 10 gallons of milk and a dozen loaves of bread.

Eggs? EGGS???

French Toast is a must in winter storms.

Forecast now is somewhere between 3 and 18 inches in the Albany/Troy area, depending on how the storm tracks.

So screw you, lordkosc! :)

LOLOL

our 3-6 then 6-12 inches turned into around 4. Tell the truth, it didn’t matter to me as I had stocked up on alcohol prior to the storm and since I’m working out of the house I don’t care if the roads are messed up!

Story of my life, man. Story of my life.

We got like 9" to 12". Considering the original forecast was for 12-20, I’m ok with the low end. Working from home. Most of the Boscov’s stores are opening late in case you were heading out to Boscov today. Most will be open by noon. :)

I just plowed a part of my driveway. A good 18 inches and it is still snowing. Fortunately I have a good neighbor who did my front walk for me, he has a big honking blower. Mine only rates at 9 inches, so it is slow going as I nibble at the pile.

I have an electric blower and it tops out at around the same 9", which is about what we got here. At some point last night, we had sleet, so everything is packed down, not fluffy.

I used the blower on most of the driveway and part of the sidewalks this morning, but now it’s time to employ my handy-dandy high-depth removal tools (ie, 2 teenage sons) to clear out the remnants of the street plow and the rest of the sidewalks.

Yeah, I’m putting the 20 year old back into removal operations soon. I still have to dig out the damn car, though. City plowing and parking is always the bane of my snowday existence.

Mine is electric also. Ryobi, with the swappable 40V batteries. I have 5 tools from that set now, and am generally very pleased with them.

That being said, the arms on the blower are designed wrong.

Still at work, when I do get home tonight around 9pm. I have to park in the street, and get the front of my driveway open , that the township plow blocked. Then worry about shoveling tomorrow between conference calls. Glad we only got around 9-10 inches.

I so do not miss this. Sometimes multiple times. Nothing like hearing the snow chains of the plow at 3AM just knowing what you will be doing in the morning.

And I live on a curve, where somehow 90% of the road snow, 15 feet in either direction of my driveway, ends up in my driveway. They like to make that 2nd pass just to block it more I think.

One day when I am old, and get tired of IT, I am gonna drive plow and block everyone’s driveways.

13.5 inches today by the afternoon. I have a great snowblower so I was all like “bring it” except my snowblower wouldn’t start today.

Our first house was on the East side of Cleveland, across from a mall. The big city plows would come by and create huge walls of snow. No way I would have tried to clear that myself. We used to contract with someone for the season with a plow on their truck
