I’ve had to wear pants instead of shorts for the past week. It’s been quite irritating.

The US version of that site refers to it as a “snow sled shovel”.
The one I posted above looks similar but with a single prong instead of double prong on the handle. I use it similarly too - I just push the snow, then use my leg to boost it up and dump the snow over the top. Also pretty easy to use with spinning momentum to throw the snow half a dozen yard/meters with not much effort.
This might make sense given that I might have to use it 0-3 times a year. We do have an outlet on the deck and for the driveway I can crack the garage door and run an extension cord under it.
I may see if anything goes on clearance after winter is over.
OK, my browser asked if I wanted it to translate the page for me, whereupon I was informed that “Fiskars SnowXpert™ snow cola has a sturdy, spray-pressed moonshot.”
I have to say I’m interested, if not completely sold.
American “pants” or British “pants”?
It makes a difference.
lolol what makes this better (or worse) is I use bing, and uh, the blurb at the top uses the urban dictionary blurb, which I don’t think is what you meant either…
Might actually get some real snow this weekend:
Ok, this is crazy. It’s -47F with the windchill here in Edmonton this morning, brutal cold. We were having pretty mild winter to about a week ago.

Umm… how the heck does anything withstand that kind of cold. My hands hurt the last time we hit like 14F… with gloves.

She’ll just loose all her finger and probably her nose, otherwise very stylish and expensive. I don’t see how average folks could afford a 1400 jacket.
I feel cold just looking at this
It’s house to car to work. Outside is kept at a minimum, although when I got home there were a couple of guys shovelling dirt from the back of a truck filling a hole. No idea why but wasn’t going to stop and ask.
“Model is 5’10” has 25" waist, 35" hips, 33" bust and wears size S"
Yak approves.
There are more affordable parkas. It’s funny how perceptions of fashion change. About 30 years ago, I worked with a guy who was from Jordan. He married a Jordanian, but she has only visited Canada during the summer. When she moved to Canada permanently, he tried to buy her a parka but she refused because it was ugly and not fashionable. She quickly changed her tune when the first cold snap arrived. Now, parkas are a fashion thing.
A lot of weird fashion lately. Super ugly tennis shoes. Nerd 1980s aviator glasses with the double bridges. Huge hoop earrings. Lots of gold. I suppose the “tackiness” and ostentatious displays of wealth are ironic. (I think poofy fur-lined parkas fit into this category if you don’t live in Canada or the Arctic.)

Haha. Well if I want cold and snow, I can go up the mountains, so my comment was with the understanding that it’s functional and you can only do so much. The puff jackets can be kind of popular around here, but they’re like walking around in a quilted pillow… and just as flattering as that sounds. That parka just doesn’t look as huge as many coats that are less effective are.
I thought Bernie was the new fashion trendsetter in winterwear.

Look, being from the Midwest people out here are soft with winter. I’ve gone skiing in sun zero weather in Colorado, just remember layers and be able to competent cover your face. Under armor, long sleeve shirt, sweater, winter coat, long Johns, running pants, jeans, snow pants, balaclava, hat, scarf, and multi layer gloves.
I mean the fact it was -44° wind chill (F or C doesn’t matter!) didn’t stop us. The wind was down mountain so it wasn’t too bad except on the lifts. Just cover your face completely and let the skis bumping tell you when to uncover.
It’s just most people out here don’t have the right clothing and layers for it.
