That does look like Donnie Darko to me. I was initially thinking that dark hair guy was Andy Lau so I was trying to think of more Chinese movies with white guys in it.

Such an interesting amount of backstory around that movie and Richard Farnsworth’s already impressive performance is even more so when you learn that he was dying of cancer while making the movie and would take his own life just months later. Thanks for the post Omniscia.

There, you see? It wasn’t about the Polish Air Force at all, it was about the Czechoslovakian Air Force. Their planes had kickstands.

I remember liking this movie when I saw it in the theater, but it’s very hard to find on video. The title is tough too, I usually misremember it as Deep Blue Sky or Dark Air World or something.
