In some circles, that’s called cheating. This is the 20:20 game, not the 20:20something game! :)

Eh, so it was 20:19.95 rather than 20:20. You couldn’t tell the difference if I didn’t actually tell you, and the yellow subtitles looked like ass.

This is an outrage. I am outraged. Furiously, furiously outraged.

Hmm, probably better to just 'shop a black bar to block the subtitles in that case. I had to bend the 20 to each end of the second to block a few images but I never let it get out of 20:20. For Bunraku it was the difference between less-known actor’s face and Ron Perlman in dreadlocks.

H.

And in some circles, that’s called PAL speedup.

Will we provincials ever know the difference?

ok 20:20 it’s on.
if you don’t get this one, the second one will have you slapping your head (hopefully)

I say leave the subtitles in, I did for The Man from Nowhere and A Town Called Panic, and I thought the captions on the shots ended up pretty awesome.

Hmmm. I’ve got some images uploaded for a movie that I can’t remember if I already posted. I have this vague recollection of someone guessing the 40:40 frame, but searching those posts where charmtrap keeps up with the submissions and a little Googling turns up nothing, so here goes. Sorry if it is in fact a repeat:

Hmm, kinda looks like one of those camcorder monster movies. Is it Rec?

Nope.

Cloverfield?

Yup! All yours Tim.

I benefited from charmtrap’s comments, but I’m so pleased I got a legit win! Woo for me!

ha, ha! Looking for the lists of what’s been done already, I noticed Cloverfield was the movie that started this thread about a year ago.

Hah. Whoops. I searched through Charmtrap’s list for my own name to see what I posted previously. I didn’t think to search for, you know, the movie I was posting. Oh well!

From what movie will you see this frame at the 20:20 mark:

Looks like it was somehow recorded incorrectly in one of the list of posts as “1. VSys114 - Quarentine.” So it woudln’t have made a difference how you searched.

True Grit?

Yes! It certainly is.
