I knew I recognised that car !!!
Argh, Kaurismaki. Always meant to see those Leningrad Cowboy movies. I’ve only seen a few of his later films.
Jesus’ Son! Look at how young Michael Shannon looks. So awesome! I love that movie, and I’ve been meaning to rewatch it. Glad you picked it, Mr. JR.

Okay, I’m up. In what movie will you see the following at the 20:20 mark?

As usual, no fair peeking at the image name!
-Tom
You’ve renewed my Oscar nominations anger, MarcJR. I hope you’re happy.

Very widescreen, but there’s a very large guy doing manual labor. This implies that this is some kind of action movie. His hard hat has excessive frippery that looks vaguely futuristic, and then there’s the strange stripe on the wall behind him with a lime green color scheme that would have looked futuristic 20 years ago. So I wonder if Arnold Schwarzenegger was on that work crew.
Is it Total Recall?
Also, I love that “Schwarzenegger” is in the spellcheck.
super yakuza armageddon assassin monkey death car
Damn, you’re good! But it’s not Total Recall. :)
-Tom
Oh god…it’s Armageddon isn’t it.
It’s clearly Michael Clarke Duncan and the only films I can remember him being in are Green Mile and Armageddon and he looks like he is pulling some sort of oil pumping machinery down as if they’ve struck.
Nicely done, Rory. You sound like a man who recognizes the world’s best deep core drillers when you see them. In another fraction of a second, Bruce Willis is about to come around from behind that machinery. The later screenshots roll out as follows:
Lovable Ben Affleck!

Got animal crackers?

Hot shuttle pilot chick yelling because they have to undock from an asploding space station:

That’s my dad!

I fail at this game. That’s actually a movie I secretly like and enjoy. Well not so much a secret now I guess. I might’ve not even been able to guess with with the 40:40 or 60:60.
I think I’ve watched Five Easy Pieces enough times to work on an oil rig, as long as they pay me to whip that chain around the drill and then get drunk.
here is my 20:20

Woman under the Influence. Another great movie, BTW. And twice as good as Black Swan!
-Tom.
Incorrect, but yes I’d rather watch the Red Shoes and WUTI back-to-back than Black Swan.

Fuckhead!
Dear me I love this film! Such a pity that Alison Maclean never got to do anything of substance afterward.
40:40 -this one’s a dead giveaway; knife in the eye!
60:60 -love those interiors!

Opening Night.
The banister and that red carpet, how could it not be!
Pish, so I got the name wrong. I still knew exactly what movie it was!
