Well, that looks like Jonny Lee Miller & Robert Carlyle. IMDB says it’s either Trainspotting or Plunkett & Macleane…so I’m gonna go with Plunkett & Macleane.
Yup, Plunkett and Macleane. Ravenous was close, but it was the other 1999 Carlyle period piece. I figured all the shots were of the leads, so it wouldn’t be that hard to figure out. If the 40 was a few seconds earlier, you would’ve gotten Liv Tyler, too (she’s retreating on the far right). It’s a bit of an odd movie, it plays pretty fast and loose with historical accuracy, and the soundtrack is mostly modern music, including during the dance that the 40 is taken from.
Cheating or not, charmtrap can take the next one.
Hrm. That looks like the daimyo from Ran, though younger with a broken arm and the wrong colors. So some Sengoku Jidai film I’ve not seen?
