I so wanted to post The Warriors because it sounds so much like it and then it clicked!
The Wanderers!!!

Ding Ding! on the Wanderers. I rewatched it recently, and it’s a strange movie. What teacher in their right mind would have Italians and blacks list racial slurs for each other? What was up with the duckies? Or the skinny dude’s raging dad? Then there are fun parts like their improvised song in the car, or the mobster scenes in the bowling alley.
And, of course, Karen Allen. The 60:60:

It’s so silly, but I love the elbow-titting scene, and how Ms. Allen transitions from angry to bemused to charmed over the course of sixty seconds.
jason, who did you think that actor was? He’s Tony Ganios, who has a pretty short imdb profile.
My Dad recommended it when he saw I had a copy of The Warriors. I was pretty surprised by how light and fun this was, I was expecting po-faced rollerskating baseball gangs!!
rightio here’s my 20:20

Oh I’m almost ashamed that I know this one from the 20:20 “cat scare”.
Is it Alien vs Predator?

Correct!
I recently watched it for second time and got more out of it. I love that scene especially how the father’s expression changes as he watches her. As well as their little exchange afterward where she gets to keep the change.
I’ll post the rest later on.

For some reason I thought it was Daniel Jordano or Matthew Penn - hence the Playing for Keeps. Once I recognized it was Tony Ganios my only guess was Porky’s, but I knew it wasn’t Porky’s.
That is such a beautiful and telling moment. Makes me think of the parenting 3x3 we did a good while ago.

Shotgun Stories! Damn, I loved that movie. Me + Michael Shannon 4-Ever.
Reminds me I have to go find a DVD of that.
Ding ding ding! I was nervous choosing this because I was afraid it would be too obscure, but I felt following my second favorite movie of last year with one by the director of my favorite movie of last year would be a good move. Thanks for coming through for me, charmtrap!
Also, we need more Glenda Pannell in our movies!

Me too. I got it from Netflix and recall enjoying the commentary quite a bit.

“I’m taking the skillet.”
Was Glenda Pannell the estranged wife from the 20 shot? Yeah, her acting ability is pretty good, plus magnificent breasts.
Really looking forward to Jeff Nichols next movie, Mud. Though I must admit, putting Matthew McConaughey in your movie is a little scary. He can suck pretty bad.
Anyway, new twenty (I’m on a Western thing lately):
