Well I recognise one of the best guys ever in the background but no clue what the picture is…I’m pretty sure it’s not Viva Zapata! but that’s the only guess that’s coming to me.

Not Viva Zapata, no.

Is that Buffalo Bill Cody?

No, not Buffalo Bill…

There is no 80:80, so here’s a shot from the last scene of the movie, right before they ride off into the…well, not sunset at all:

The Ox-Bow Incident

Ahhh, so close…

Such a fantastic movie. There’s virtually no action. It’s a talky, psychological Western about injustice and hatred, but it’s incredibly well-written and acted. Fonda is excellent but he’s essentially just a witness…Dana Andrews is the real star as the condemned man. Great stuff.

So is it Vsys to post?

Sure is.

Remember when this thread could be enjoyed by people under 60? But, hey, at least I recognized the On Golden Pond guy in that last screenshot!

If by under 60 you mean, like, 45 and up, then maybe.

Seriously, I never recognize any of these movies. I usually haven’t even seen them. And while I’m not as heavy into movies as a lot of people in this subforum, I’d like to think I’ve a significantly wider range of movie experience than the average guy.

My grandaddy discovered that copy of AVP in a coal mine!

Believe it or not, there were good movies made before 1977. In fact, some of them are even better than most modern movies. You should try some!

Dude, I’ve already seen Jaws like a million times. And I’m sure Lawrence of Arabia would be great if I had five hours to kill. Six with the intermission.

I love that hair thing sticking out of the back of her head. I wish I had one just like it. No idea what movie this is.

Curse of the Golden Flower?

Nope. I’ll post 40:40 tonight after work.

Looks like Jackie Chan’s aunt from the first Drunken Master movie.

We have a bingo!
