Definitely one of the Dirty Harry movies, but I don’t think it’s the first one (which is all I’ve seen so far).

Charmtrap has it.

New twenty, I’m guessing it’ll be on the easy side:

The Paper!

-Tom

The Paper?

Edit: more like Tom Quick.

Ding to Mr. Quick.

Suck it, Leaden Foot of Illium! :)

Okay, off to find some obscure horror movie. Stand by.

-Tom

Okay, in what movie will you see this at the 20:20 mark?

-Tom

Is that Val Kilmer?

Hmm, I can’t be sure. Let’s take a closer look in the 40:40. :)

-Tom

Spartan?

Nailed it, charmtrap! Here are the 60:60 and 80:80.

This boat is about to be up to no good:

Going to a foreign country to rescue the President’s daughter isn’t quite as sexy as going to space prison to rescue the President’s daughter, but at least the rescuer gets David Mamet dialogue while he’s doing it:

-Tom

I happened to watch this recently. That’s one really bad movie.

Aw, I really like Spartan. It’s Mamet trying a political thriller, it’s Val Kilmer’s last real movie before sliding into a sea of straight-to-DVD crap, and it’s a timely commentary on American hubris.

“In the city, it’s a reflection. In the forest, it’s a twig snapping.”

“What about the desert?”

“You don’t want to go in the desert.”

Plus, there’s something fascinating about watching a new actor wrestle with Mamet’s dialogue. Although I’m not convinced Val Kilmer could handle it, he was pretty darn fearless about trying.

-Tom

Spartan was pretty bad, but still kind of watchable thanks mostly to Kilmer. Kilmer is also a self-important jackass, so he’s perfectly cast for a Mamet script.

New 20:

Bleak Moments.

Nope. Every Mike Leigh film I’ve ever seen has bummed me out.

Well, that’s clearly Lucas Haas, so I’m going to guess Brick.

-Tom

So close! According to the ‘Oracle of Bacon’ website, that actress and Lukas Haas are only separated by one step (Anjelica Huston, for the record)!

I got yer 40 right here:

Based on the set, it’s clearly a Hammer horror film. Yet I know every frame of Twins of Evil, so it’s not that one. In which case I will guess, um, let’s see, how about Blood of Dracula? Is that even the name of a movie?
